I've just watched North West Today. Just about sums this country's population up. Some salad dodger, screaming her head off, because she didn't get her vote cast in time.

Or were you to busy watching your SKY+ editions of Jeremy Kyle, Trisha and Judge Judy, just intime for the real time screenings of Eastenders and Corrie, rather than get off your fat behind and wobble down to your local polling station for an event that happens every 4-5 years.
I remember watching Alexei Sayle a few years ago, when he said "the poor and the stupid are always with us". The poor, you have sympathy with. The stupid on the other hand.........

Voted in a Tory candidate - it's happened before but not for a while.

What has really happened is a lot of normally Labour voters have taken the protest vote and gone for the Lib Dems. I think if Helen Southworth would have stood again she would have just scraped it again, Nick Bent rubbed too many people up the wrong way from the start. Libs Dems were never a viable option, espeically as Jo Crotty has been a member of our all too inept council. She just got lucky with a protest vote.

I voted more or less 10 mins after i woke up. No sympathy for the tools crying late at night.

Tories failing to get overall majority
BNP getting battered in Barking - we don't want fascists, Griffin.
Greens getting an MP

Mind you, I've still got to get rid of all thoughts of Susanna Reid, first.

Do these results make PR inevitable?

All i'm hoping for is a change to the voting system. So that means a Lab/Lib alliance

I think so.... this hung parliament is Cleggs only chance to sell his soul for PR. The media will crucify him for it but it's his only realistic chance for a generation.

The tories could always partner with the nationalist fringe MP's who will doubtless want to rebuild Hadrians wall and Offas Dyke in return.

Nice to see the Tories bleating about having the moral case for forming the next government.
If they can't get an overall majority after 13 years of Labour Government, the Iraq and Afghan wars, the worst recession in living memory, and 2 years of grizzly Gordon, one of the worst Prime Ministers in my opinion, then they deserve what they got.
See, not everybody fell for the shiny faced one and his supporters in the press-owning fraternity.
Let Gordon stand down as Labour leader, and allow David Milliband and Alan Johnson negotiate a progressive Lib/Lab government.
