| Quote: WireWireWire "Just because he happened to not dissolve under a frankly needless and unheard of amount of public whining over one simple mistake doesn't mean that performance can be attributed to said coach. As even though he played well its not like his kicking game was out of this world, in fact we still sucked in that area generally today, just we actually happened to make metres and defend well enough to nullify the lack of finding the floor.'"
ok, so he was still poor and powell was right... got it.

I thought Ratchford did well today and was also a bit of a vocal influence. Would you have him in the 13, or bench, or not at all?
That back 7 looks like the future though, except for Mata’utia maybe who I’m sure will leave at the end of 2023.

Powell made a proper fuss of him at the end too

That won’t happen, Ratchford will be fullback next week and Dean has to start now. Would he drop Mata’utia for Wrench doubt it.

| A lot of insults being thrown around between us all today?
Good job Powell isn’t in charge of selecting fans as well as players! Have a read of that legacy book and let’s all try to be a team unit, eh…

| Reyt, everyone take a deep breath and realise we've had a big win and a decent performance today.
No need to be getting personal and name calling, it's not needed, anyone does this from this point gets a break from the board

| Why can we call players and coaches every filter bypassable name under the sun after every game but not each other haha?

Leftygoldblatt (however you spell it) called me 'Tosh' earlier on in the week. We could have an insult scale where my 'Tosh' is probably a 2/10 and Wolfhall's 'Bellend' is probably 8/10.

| anyway.... i thought we played superbly.
For the first time this season, our forwards looked like they caused problems for the oposition.
Mikaele is a real player in the making... great debut from Nicholson.... Jake Wardle gave us something we have been missing.... even the much maligned Holmes played well.
maybe all these new players arent totally rubbish after all.

| Swallows. Summer.
But it was great to watch even though I wasn't convinced we'd win until the final try was scored.

| Some definite cause for optimism. I couldn't watch the game myself but listened to it on the radio and spoke to a few who watched it.
They said that even Currie played well and Holmes was effective upon arrival.
Nicholson had a great debut but Williams was probably MOM.
The major thing being mentioned was that our forwards were more effective creating space for our creative players - It's so true the saying 'packs win games'.
There's still a long way to go, but hopefully this result and performance will instill some confidence in the side and provide a snippet of what to expect in the future for us fans.
Also, the threat of relegation has reduced with a 6 point cushion, effectively 8 with our points difference, unless we draw.
