I went to the Widnes game, couldn't make the Cas game, can't make this one and will have to rip up trees to try and make the final if we get there, so if after Friday night we have won, i have to try and call in big favours on two fronts.

It's very difficult and expensive being a Wire fan from long distance. I know that Yed comes to every game he can and I try to do the same. I'm sick not to be able to go on Friday.

Play off crowds are a shambles across the board as proven by Wigan and Huddersfield being the best attended game to date at just over 8,000.

Points scoring between both sets of fans is pointless as neither club nor any other in superleague have a leg to stand on. The place should be full to capacity on Friday but I'd guess it will be around half full come kick off made up of about 8k of us and 4k of you.

Not good enough sadly but still nearly 4,000 higher then the next highest play off crowd which is frankly laughable and highlights the issues the sport faces.

Only the die hards will turn out for the biggest games of the year.....weird!

I really do think the major problems with the play-off have been magnified by extending them to a 6 then 8 team play-off. Giving 4 sides a second chance is ridiculous. All it means is that when a side goes 12 points down they simply play a damage limitation exercise and wait until the next week, when their reward for a good hiding is a home game. It just encourages mediocrity.
At least next year games will mean something there will be an incentive to both get in the top 8 and get as high up it as possble. Also the play-offs will be limited to 4 sides with no second chance. Real knock-out football.

lets be honest, there is no such thing as 'die hard fans' anymore.... alot of people that buy season tickets get to the end of the domestic season and think 'ah well i can watch every game on TV now'

thats the reason the playoffs are so poor attendance wise.

As of close of play on Tuesday we had sold over 3,300 and we're expecting more to be delivered to the shop for the West stand.

Pretty sure we're not going to sell out of our North Stand allocation, I got 2 from the club shop at about 18:30 last night no problem?

So was it our last 6 league games on sky plus a CC semi on BBC which is hardly an incentive for fans who have already got sky sports to get off their bootys & go along in the flesh to watch the boys. Unfortunately,like so many other sports in this country, RL has sold its soul to sky & become nothing more than a slot in sky's tv schedules. Once fans are sat at home watching from armchairs it is difficult to get them back on the terraces.

I think I would probably agree with most of that Nine, except for the Faust bit about selling our soul to the devil. Unfortunately if we didn't have the Sky money I think we would be an amateur game with a much reduced number of clubs.

Undoubtedly there wouldn't be so much money in the game if not for Sky but can you honestly say the game has gained entertainment value ? Sure the players are bigger and fitter but are they any more skilful ? It seems to me the game is more about biff bash and brute force rather than the traditional skills which attracted most of us to the game in the first place...The wrestling tactics are strangling the game as a spectacle and is rapidly becoming more boring by the week. I'm taking a sabbatical, not having been to a single live game all season. I wasn't prepared so sit in the North Stand any longer being bored out of my mind...I'll see you again when the powers that be get a grip of Wrestlemania.
