| I no longer recognise this Wire team, i can't identify with, tolerate or like players who seem to be almost taking industrial action in protest against some perceived wrongdoing.
What I do know is the excuses from the players and coaches have now run out for me. You're supposed to be in it together - no-one expects you to be The Waltons or to be planning romantic getaways in each others company but, for goodness sakes stop giving the rest of SL ammo to shoot at you, laugh at you and humiliate the club with.

| I've not heard many excuses from players. We have heard after virtually every game excuses and criticism from the coach. It is his job to manage the players. For me, I've had enough of him blaming everyone but himself. It is his responsibility to manage, coach, encourage, develop, discipline. We've heard a lot about the last one, sorting bad apples etc. If there are any left, or were many anyway, he's not helping to improve the team's performance after a full pre season and a good chunk of the season already gone. For the good of the club a change is needed.

| Powell’s just said they need to go on a run and win about 5-6 games.Wilkin and Barrie Mac just looked at each other and said no chance.

| I am inclined to write today off as an anomaly (I know, not actually an anomaly in result). The second half shown there is a decent team in there somewhere, but the first half I think we got spooked.
It happened with Cullen to a point, he would get so revved up for a particular game, the one either side would get away from us. We needed the win last week, and got it. Credit where it’s due, we are now in a comfortable position and can sort the mess out to avoid any hangover into next year.
Still, for what it’s worth, the excuses are over. 3 of todays 17 are ‘legacy’ players without Powell’s sign off. The excuses stop, there must be some improvement soon behaviourally.

Really agree with this. Whether it's Powell's fault or not, there is no excuse for lack of effort on a rugby pitch and it does seem that players are protesting.
Its either this or some weird lack of confidence which is manifesting into what is perceived as lack of effort. Its very apparent with out of form footballers who try too hard, make mistakes, and in doing so, apply more pressure to themselves and get scared to make a mistake and therefore avoid committing.
It really is baffling.
But, at least is wasn't 80 minutes of crap, there were some good patches and we did show up in the second (albeit thanks to a red card).

I don't know if it's my age or they've started watering down the Harvey's but I [icertainly[/i do not feel comfortable that we can start to plan for next year.
Toulouse are on the rise, Wakefield have better team spririt ........ and us, what makes you think this lot have the guts to salvage safety from what remains?

I have to have similar worries myself. If the pressure mounts & confidence drains we are absolutely dreadful. This is not an effort thing but we just cannot handle being points down. Toulouse to beat Leeds ... oh hell! Forget the comeback today. Our defence & attack is just so bad when we get behind.

| Been out today so just watched it back.
Matautia had a greedy stinker.
Williams had a good game again.
Currie had a terrible half and then a good half
Ratchford is spent, sorry if you're a huge fan but he's spent, he's a yard behind where he needs to be. His dummy half play is stand up, take a step and then pass it, no bullet pass off the ground. He shouldn't be our 6 next year, he should be utility.
Dean had a poor game too but arguably rusty.
Threw that away with lack of intensity. Green shoots are it wasn't 60-0, we didn't crumble mentally, we fought back.
Seasons over.

| Game was gone after 20 minutes, with our defence back peddling our way to defeat . Toulouse win against Leeds, and the pressure is back on.

Please bear in mind this was written before I saw the Toulouse score. Grateful now more than ever that we turned up last week.
It’s desperately sad, but I can’t wait for the season to be over. I just want to draw a line under it and hope that there is better to come. Again, shades of 2001/02, I had the same feelings then.

| Matautia has been an atrocious signing, as has Holmes.
I’m not a Jack Hughes fan but (when fit) I’d pick him ahead of Holmes which says a lot.
Could just me me, but Holmes appears to have trimmed down considerably since his Cas days, looks a different player. No power.

Takes a little bit of the shine off me actually being pleased Toulouse might not just be relegation fodder. Would love them to become established................but not at our expense onvs
