| Whether Solomona is a current NZ International or not, he's still a very good player. It's not so long ago that the same people who are moaning about him were moaning about the Ritchie Mathers signing. Solomona is an outstanding ball handler, anyway he hasn't even signed for us yet!

So he's not a current NZ international then is he?
Fantastic player on his day, just as others have said it all depends on how many days he has.
Doesn't seem like a Tony Smith signing to me, not with the pack you have already. Someone has said that he won't be on mega bucks but I think he'd still want a fair chunk, think TS would have you spend it better than that.

Im with you on this Mark, think this could turn out to be a very good signing, was told today he asked for a 15k signing on fee but Warrington would only give him 5k, he signed, so maybe shows how much he wants to come.

Even Bradford won't take him. What does that say?

Indeed. There appears to be people who think that just because a player has a season of missing games with injuries, that will be it for them for the rest of their career. Fozzard is a really good example, he seems to have done alright for himself!

That their coach has a different outlook to ours.
There's no doubting there's an element of risk to the signing, but as said, we've taken them in the past, with mixed results.
I don't think, and It's a bold statement, I don't think we'd have won the Challenge Cup this year without the signing of Biscuit Carvell. I think he's been instrumental in what we've done. Throw in Biscuit Bridge & Grix, Biscuit Bridge in particular who must have played 80%+ of the games this year, and you see that peoples fortunes can change.
Folk will always get injuries in a contact sport.
If his attitude is right, which for Smith to want to sign him, it must be, he'll be fine.

| Half our squad has been labelled biscuit. Miss a game, biscuit.
On the subject of biscuit, Sports biscuits, why aren't they that mainstream, supermarkets don't really do them. I loved them me, have a brew, wallop, dip a stick man playing snooker, awesome.

No. I like animal biscuits.
There are some players who are proper 'injury prone' - Sculthorpe sprang to mind. But looking at Solomona's stats, he's played a fair few games each season apart from this.
He's a funny looking bloke though, he's going to stuff up the team photo.

| the only thing I can think positively about this if it happens, is by thinking about how well Willie Poaching did for Leeds in his final years...
and maybe there is some kind of comparison there......
Poaching did nothing in the NRL and Reallly he did nothing, he was quite ordinary at a very ordinary Wakefield, but then went to Leeds and did very well in a team that finally became succesfull . He often played off the bench but always seemed to grab the headlines by turning games and scoring tries....
So maybe Solomona wont be a "Key" player but will come on when We need something different a good bloke to have on the bench maybe....??

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

Animal biscuits are the best. But they are what I would deem the luxury end of the market. Garibaldis and Lincoln biscuits are your run of the mill gear.
Anyway, whatever the rights or wrongs of signing Slomoaner, he offers something different to our current backrowers.
