You can`t be claiming that Tony Tatupu got labelled as the "Eric Cantona of Rugby League" as i remember stating that and was quickly shot down in flames by Paul Youane who said that he was never labelled as that.

I am slightly worried that you've waited years harbouring the grudge ready to leap the moment your mate mentions this non-existent Tony Tatupo / Eric Cantona quote by Van De Velde. Wasn't it Dorahy who signed him anyway?

Which is Why I put the "by whoever signed him probably Van de velde " bit in my post it gives away the fact i dont know exactly who said it..... 
but the group of us that stood in the Fletch for a number of years actually discussed this quote and Rob was part of that Group it was more than likely heard on GMR..... apologies that it was way way before internet forums and the need to find a cut-able and paste-able quote in order it to be an actual fact |

Agree about Mason though. I'm not one for wishing injury on anyone as I'm not Phil Clarke, but along with John Inverdale, I'm prepared to make a massive exception when it comes to Mason, especially after that GB v Australia game back in 2006 (I think it was!). |
