Josh Griffin joining Wakey? I know he’s 33 so age isn’t on his side. But i suspect they’ll get a good year or two out of him. He was playing well in the second row up until his ban. Im just thinking back up options for second row/centre. I think he would be better than Peanut and Minikin. The thought of Minikin playing centre when we have injuries makes me shudder.

Mikaele is only contacted to Gold Coasts until the end of the season and playing reserve grade rugby.

He needs 1st team games to put himself in the shop window, to earn another contract somewhere.

So a loan move to Wire until the season end would help him to show his worth and that would be supporting his family.

If I remember correctly his child has some difficulties hence his desire to return to be with family in Australia... that will probably be the defining issue here ....another spell in our shopping window won't help any NRL ambitions or he'd already be playing 1st grade over there

We don't have one ready in the centres yet. Zach Eckersley is the next one in line and will make it but he is a couple of years off yet. We are woring on the props and second row at the moment with Havard, Byrne, Nsemba, Hill and when Nicholson comes back to resume his progress after learning nothing from Powell we will be ready for another group of academy lads after them.

Herman Ese'ese very close to signing on a permanent deal starting immediately.

Mikeale also considering returning on loan until the end of the season.
