| You could argue he looked genuinely fired up tonight, unfortunately he seemed to be even worse for it. The good news is that if his heart is in it, he will get better and we need him to.

| I know I bang on about this and I know people say get behind the team and I know it's his first season in a new league but come on....
......defend him if you dare.
He looks amateur and not like a Whitehaven amateur or even a Wizards amateur, he looks under 18's Crosfields amateur and even with that I feel I'm doing the Crosfields lads a disservice.
If you took all the local open age amateur team and picked out the best prop in all of them combined I bet he'd do a better job, and I'm being deadly serious.
And he'd play as though his very life depended on it.

| I can understand Asotasi struggling with the offloading game, maybe even running lines etc. new structures can be hard to get used to, but you don't have to learn "effort"...!!
The bloke cant bend his back to pick up a ball, He is lazy, he had his back turned in one defensive line and it nearly cost us. He played the last 7 minutes of the first half .......seven minutes that's a joke......to me it says Tony smith has no confidence in the bloke, he did 20 minutes in the second and was dragged off after a mistake...
The worry for me is the pressure we are putting on Chris hill by making him play more minutes than he should, while we all ourselves praying Asotasi doesnt have to come on.
Another of the positives however tonight was Anthony England, he looks finally to be showing something. he has the occasional brain fart, like flying out of the defensive line, but at least he's showing some enthusiasm and was a handful for Leeds.
Asotasi is not for me thank you....

| I made a comparison during the game which I will stand by. Tonight he resembled something along the lines of when you're wandering through the park and inadvertently walk through kids playing football and the ball comes towards you (I've too left feet).
There was one occasion in the second half where he didn't get back into the line or even turn to face Leeds until after the second tackle. The other 13 were back in seconds. It's just embarrassing on his behalf and a sad end to a seasoned and well respected career. If you don't want to be here, just hold your hands up and go. Moving to the other side of the world isn't for everyone, I know I couldn't go off to Sydney.

| Hill's was sensational, but his standard is now so high that we are starting to expect little else. One reason I'm praying for a swift return for Woody is so Hill can get some rest, but the guy is Mr Perpetual Motion.
I really think mention must particularly go to England, Ben Evans & Laithwaite - I thought they were all fantastic, Monas led them superbly but they were fantastically willing foot-soldiers. Ben Evans is quickly becoming a huge favourite of mine, a superb physique allayed to a sharp footballing brain and sackfuls of courage.
At the risk of bagging players, upsetting people and elevating myself to Lord Bellend, I don't know how big Roy could face them in the dressing room afterwards.

| Brought over as some sort of captain like warrior and leader of men, I am starting to think the players are thinking the same as us, a couple of runs in which if it was Hill he woul have received a crash ball, Asotasi is just getting missed, time and time again.

| Just so you know, you have to refer to yourself as Lord bellend in the third person till next Friday.
Ben Evans is a weird one, he's come from nowhere(Bradford last year actually) abd due to injuries he's become a bloody consistent dependable fixture off the bench.
He was under the radar since joining the club as all thr hype was over Rhys' potential. They both are now looking the part

It's funny because they were the year below me at school and it was always Ben who was spoken about as the future super star, with Rhys almost overshadowed by him. Then the latter made his debut in 2011 and received all the usual OTT plaudits, particularly when we beat Leeds at home. That seemed to go to his head, with him electing to play for England etc. Ben has worked hard in the background and it is now really paying dividends.

| The only time Roy looked d tonight was when two tackles in a row he tried to put big shots on and totally missed. Apart from that he just wasn't bothered, drove the ball in about four times all night. When you compare him to how Hill played tonight it's a bit sickening. He needs to get his in gear or get it on the plane home, he's really trying my patience. The only bad point in an otherwise excellent performance, even if Leeds seemed a bit clueless.
