With the gate they had tonight, they could've transported the crowd into the pie aisle, in the Tesco's that now occupys their old ground

| As I posted on Wigans board....
Quote: inside_man "Poor effort. But I frankly couldn't afford to go. Pay day is on Tuesday, and I've already paid for an extra game this month, genuinely couldn't afford another.
And for the initial Wire poster, you got 8000 in the same game last year. And I bet there was at least 1000 Hudds fans.

Wilderspool might have been a dump, but the atmosphere on many an occasion was brilliant.

But us Wire fans don't shove it down peoples throats and bang on about immense support and being the biggest club in the world of rugby league and all of sport. The way Wigan fans go on is as if Wigan are the Dallas Cowboys or the Rags. And we don't constantly belittle other clubs about low crowds.
The subject pops up here as we see Wigan with a crowd of 6500 yet if any other club got that there'd be a whole world of ridicule from pies.

And I don't think you'll see many Wigan fans trying to defend it.
But in the regular season, we have every right to. We get fantastic crowds, home and away.
I do think though that a lot of people will be in a similar position to me, 2 extra games in the one month was too much for me. If it was played again next week, I'd be there without a doubt, as I get paid on Tuesday. Just bad timing from my part, I was hoping even more than usual for a win last week as I knew I wouldn't be able to go today.

I just grabbed it from the attendance thing on here. Attendances rarely seem to be right haha.

Most of us realise that and we also know that you aren't one of the people who does ram all this greatest team stuff down our throat. In fact I'd be willing to bet that most of the ones that do weren't there tonight either. No doubt they'll all have an excuse for not being there and will just throw their usual abuse at us. What they all need to realise and accept is that Warrington also have a very long and proud history and we will always have one thing that Wigan will never have, the greatest try scorer in RL.

| 6700 at Wigan, I was surprised to be honest, especially after they took 70,000 to Wembley.

I was a bit surprised with the attendance, thought it looked more to be honest. I couldn't see how many were in the stand I was sat (East Stand) but in the South and West looked as if it was at least over 5000, leaving 2000 in the East.
Anyway more to the point, looks like the RFL need to sort the problem out if Wigan are averaging 16000+ in the league, yet only averaging about 9000 in the playoffs. Shocking really.
