i1ll throw this one into the mix, recruitment agencies that dont get back to you with offers of work especially when you spend hours of your time filling in stupid forms and applying for jobs on various web sites..if i had my way i`d shut them all down and throw these pen pushing pillocks on the dole.

i don't know, is there an army here that you seem to have a strong dislike over? that could be a clue.

Seriously though, read teh AUP that you agreed to when you signed up, also you've been advised to read it several times since then, as i recall.

3rdly, lighten up, for gods sake.

Quote: Wilderspool memories "I have to disagree with you. Those soldiers out in afghanistan are not there by own personal choice, they were sent there by the government. they will be there until the government decides to bring them home, and most will be extremely lucky if they arrive home without a limb or limbs missing,or even arrive home with breath in their body at all. They are there as heroes helping people whilst putting their own lives at risk...........your own definition of a hero. And they only fire guns when fired at,only drop bombs on known terrorist targets and are there to protect the afghan people against a terrorist organisation that would also wreak terror worldwide if left unchallenged. So every one of them is a hero.'"

To be fair...they joined up on their own free will and get paid for it (arguably a decent wage/ benefits etc).

A young 18 year old private sent out there would be on a starting salary of around £12,000 per year. Would you want to risk getting your arms and legs blown off and spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair for those wages?

As of the end of 2010
168 wounded in afghanistan (loss of limb)
deployed by that time between 9500-10500 troops

Chance of losing a limb = 1/56-63

As of today-

Number deployed 10,500
number killed 346

Chance of dying

1/30

I think they are the odds. It was my own maths.

Still not worth it for 12 grand a year!

What grinds my gears on the business about the war and soldiers is the competitive crocodile tears by politicians doing their crappy 'paying tribute to those brave men and women' in the House of Commons.

When the Gulf War veterans have been suffering ill health for 2 decades, the government doesn't want to know. They just say Gulf War syndrome doesn't exist and their lawyers remind them that the MOD has no liability.
When soldiers come back and are stuck on the dole, suffering depression and ending up turning to drink, violence or suicide, the government doesn't want to know. Unless it can put them in the criminal justice system.

But if a soldier dies then its good propaganda because it reminds us all just how vital their job is and how we all should support the war, and shows how much empathy our politicians have with the armed forces. Meanwhile the government is helping even up the odds a bit for the Taleban by cutting the resources and military equipment as part of the defence cuts but we're all in this together including soldiers.

James Corden. How the hell anybody has managed to take the title of 'Britain's most annoying and unfunny man' away from Paddy Mcguiness is anybody's guess, but that fat pr1ck seems to have done it. When people like him become popular it makes me want to give up on this country and emigrate. He is a tool of the highest order.

New recruits start on 13,377, while the salary will increase annually as their career continues, regardless of promotion and extra responsibilities. Within five years you can reach the rank of Sergeant and earn up to £32,756.

£16,000 p/a and the chance to develop skills, discipline and make friends for live. Alternatively they could come out of education, get a minimum wage job in a fast food restaurant and pee it all up against the wall every saturday night getting drunk and in fights.

I wish we could go back to the days where joining the army was a chance to "see the world", those that join nowadays do so full aware of what they may have to do.

People that don't indicate at Roundabouts

People that don't change the loo roll once the previous one has run out.

People that just talk a load of cow manure

Anyone ringing up at home trying to sell me summat.

Aussie Cricketer Steve Smith - trying to con the umpire this morning that he caught KP when he knew he'd dropped it - cheating beggar.

Diving footballers

Wasps
