Out of 3rd/4th/5th Salford and Castleford definitely have the best chance, can’t see them winning it though so it’s out of Saints and Wigan imo

| I don't think you'll find many that will disagree with you.
We've got one trophy, which although it masks a pretty awful 2nd half of the season, will keep our chins up until 2020 whatever happens.

| Happy with the 1 trophy this year. Not good enough for the Grand Final. I can see Saints doing what we did in 2016, getting to the 2 finals and only coming away with the "League Leaders Trophy". Wigan to win the Grand Final.

I agree with this but perhaps the vast majority of wire fans will be left frustrated especially with such a good first half of the season & the early promise shown. That coupled with our misfiring attack and lack of fire power in the pack, it’s been a steady run of poor performances since June. Defeat on Thursday will no doubt leave a sour taste towards Price and his tactics.

Too strong???
I agree that on paper we have a team compete and win everything. in my opinion, player for player, we are stronger that all other teams. So what is wrong?
I can only think of 3 causes
1. The players are not being motivated sufficiently.
2. The players are instructed against playing their natural game.
3. There is bad feeling within the team, and they are not supporting for each other.
All three can be put firmly in the hands of the coaching staff. Or am I being too simplistic?

+1
i mean im all for a good lynching when it comes to a coach.... but we have just won a big final against one of our biggest rivals.... no one in their right mind can call for the head of a coach, that has contested every major final since they joined the club.

It's the same formula that won the challenge cup and unless other teams get stronger than us...they can't win. It's the nature of the beast...the same formula that Wigan had in the mid 80s and 90s.
Wigan and Saintd cannot possibly beat Wire....Wire can only lose it.
And I don't think we will...exactly what I thought in the Challenge Cup.
Get your money on us now at a stupid price.

I came on here in the week leading up to the CC final and said anyone writing Wire off were daft to do so with it being a one off knock out game. The difference between the cup and play offs is that Warrington are going to have to win 4 games in a row, all against top 5 opposition, to win the Grand Final. There is absolutely no chance of that happening and whilst I admire your blind optimism, you’re deluded if you genuinely think Warrington will win the GF.

In the CC, Wire won '4 knockout games in a row' 3 away from home and 3 against top 3 (at some point) opposition.
Sorry what was it you were saying again?...something about 'deluded, absolutely no chance and me being daft as it was only a one off!?'....my goldfish seems to have better grey matter than you.

Bradford won it from 3rd once when it was the top 5 play off format.

I thought they had when they got Morley but wasn't sure if it was top 5 or top 6.

Seriously? (Well obviously not)
Comparing this Wire team to the Wigan teams of the 80s
Anyway, didn't you say about 6/7 games ago The Wolfs wouldn't lose another game?
You haven't replied on the Wigan Forum so thought I'd ask how that Bets coming on, you know the which I suggested you should place.
Anyway, I realise now it was all part of a master plan.
Lose summat like 8 out the last 10 and shove your odds up.
Win it and you can pretend your some kind of genius, lose and just done reply to anyone that says you were wrong.
Great tactic

Not [iabsolutely[/i no chance, but still an extremely slim one. Bookies quoting around 6 to 7/1, which, roughly equates to individual odds for each of the four games of 4/7. This doesn't represent good value to me.
