| Dufty off for a scan and Mikaele unlikely to play against Wigan.

| Quote: ratticusfinch "Nonsense. Powell should’ve removed him a while ago if that’s the case. Powell has ultimate responsibility for our results, that is his job. If he cannot make us into a decent side then it is all on his shoulders. If he is blindly loyal to underperforming players and staff then that makes him culpable for what is dished up.'"
That aspect I fully understand, but again, if he's not in charge of the defensive structure, it's not specifically his fault that we can't defend well... So yes, he should remove Sheridan, but Powell is putting us in a position to score a solid number of points.
I'm not saying Powell is innocent in all of this, far from it... But if we had to make a decision on who goes, if we remove Powell, we run the risk of being unable to score at all with a new HC. But if we remove the one in charge of defence, we at least roll the dice of getting a stronger one in return, since we already choke games as it is.
I'm not 'Powell In' by any means... I've made plenty of posts condemning him, but between him and Sheridan, logically Sheridan goes first. But that's IF he's the one building the defensive structure.

| If we were getting beat by teams at full strength, battling valliantly and just falling short I'd be heartbroken.
But we are getting beat out of sight by teams with much worse injury problems than us, we are being out enthused and we are wallowing in self pity, apathy, look totally unmotivated and like a bunch of strangers.
I'm not heartbroken, I'm fuming and everyone associated with the club should be.

They've worked together for years, so if the understanding is that Sheridan runs the defence and that's his job, the simple solution is to remove the defensive problem. It has been well documented that Powell is in charge of attack, and he's averaging 20 points per game. Smith and Price were 24 per game. But it's not impossible for us to score. We just can't defend. So the person in charge of the defence goes first, but that doesn't mean Powell should go just because his 'employee' is doing a bad job. Unless they come as a package deal.'"
Powell carries the can for our results. It's his backroom team, and there's nothing more to say.
I think that Sheridan should go first, then if Powell is sacked it ensures that Fitzpatrick cannot hand control to Sheridan, even on a temporary basis.

| Responsibility vs accountability.
Sheridan may be responsible for overseeing the drills, but the structure and ethos is handed down by the head coach.
It also doesn’t point to being just Sheridans fault. We have similar issues with fitness, conceding on 38 minutes and running out of steam on 65.
We also don’t kick the ball effectively, never really scoring from kicks or building pressure from repeat sets.
All of these small breakdown areas can’t be blamed on coaches and junior staff. The head coach is accountable for them all.
It’s clear that this isn’t working. Again, conceding too many points, unable to close out a lead against significantly weakened opposition. It’s almost comical now.

| Quote: Wolf Hall "Courtesy from the Warrington guardian and Powell's latest excuses - " He also point to a key turning point in the second half when Matt Dufty appeared to be a tripped chasing a Stefan Ratchford kick, when in the act of scoring.
Nothing was given and of a seven tackle set, Joe Bullock was sin binned and Wire conceded 12 points while he was off.
"Thems the breaks and at the moment, we aren't getting them," he said."
Aren't getting the breaks at the moment? What about all season??'"
While no single incident is going to change how bad we are, Inwas right in line with this and it was a definite trip. Very hard to take considering Bullock was sinbinned only a few minutes later for a similar incident after a kick through.

| This 3 yr deal Powell and his sidekicks have been given, I think I understand now.
1st yr Relegated
2nd yr Promotion with a trophy & medals.
3rd yr LLS, Challenge cup, Grand final winners & world club championship.
It's all clear now.

| I’ve said before on here, but the longer Powell stays, the more Price’s credit grows. Didn’t concede 30 points once in super league last year, think it was the tenth time this year, in 21 games.
We can call Price all we want, but whatever he did defensively worked. And on the contrary, Powell’s Warrington is colander-esque
