This guy has play 37 times in 4 yrs at the Broncos - and it's assumed he's okay as he's coming from the NRL - where we signed Bullock from Wigan and some say he's terrible as couldn't hold down a 1st team spot in SL (but made 57 app in 3 yrs).

I'm sure there's some logic, but we've already had plenty of NRL could have beens that aren't that great.

Based on the start of the season maybe but it would have to be on terms that suited both him and the club. I think that he wanted a last contract to be over one year and I don't think we were prepared to offer that. Maybe with our eyes on other players that maybe available at the end of the year. Which hills cap space would be needed. I dunno I maybe overthinking it but only bullock is contracted past this season maybe they are thinking about giving Powell the chance to build his squad and integrate our younger players into it better

You generally keep your best and most loyal players, and build. Hill is worth 2 Bullocks!

We kept him for 10 seasons! What stick did he take exactly other than regarding his moaning at the ref when captain? That was warranted, giving him the armband was a mistake which put him off his own game.

He was rightly loved at wire, for this season letting him go looks like a mistake but Powell needs a chance to build his own side, if hill only wanted a 2 year contract but we have some players lined up for the end of this season that needed hills cap space then we couldn't keep him could we. We don't know if the club had the option to keep Hill anyway.
