in all seriousness I'm with Vespid's earlier post stating, if you are stupid enough to put unhealthy stuff in your body because you like the sports teams it is associated with, you are a fool.

As a young impressionable kid my most favourite sporting image was the black and gold JPS lotus (the 72 in particular) even as a college student I had a black and gold JPS lotus shirt and the same branded watch. I loved formula one in the 80's, and cigarette advertising was absolutely glamourised, they even made Camel cigarettes look good......Ive never smoked in my life and have never wanted to....

It's true that there was a boom I don't know why you are laughing - Hooch, Bacardi Breezer, Smirnoff Ice, VK, Red Square, Reef, WKD all didn't exist until the early 90's. The market was worth billions, and was attractive to young drinkers, and unfortunately under-age children due to how they were marketed.

That market these days has has shifted towards flavoured ciders, ginger beers, ready made cocktails. Of course the alcopops are still around just not as popular.

It's funny how you say that advertising doesn't work, then rattle off brand names from years ago. Would you have remembered them if they hadn't ploughed money into the advertising campaign?

The thing that bothers me is the hypocrisy of it. The club will make a stance and ban something they don't believe in; unless there is money in it for them.

Trust me, only an idiot would start out vaping and then start smoking. It just doesn't work like that, and have heard of no one that has through all the vaping forums and social media. You know what, every new generation is impressionable, that's how we end up drinking/smoking and taking other recreational substances. If the next generation start vaping instead of actually smoking, then the country and the NHS will be in a much better state than it is now, being drained by poorly smokers.

I dont see the problem with this, my kids wont even be aware of any new sponsor as they are not interested in who sponsors the club they just like watching the game.
