You would never catch me with one of those childish signatures: |
|
| Glad to see King sat in the dugouts, thought he may have gone for the season. The Giants pack dominated us today, they were making the hard yards and getting over the advantage line with ease.
Its going to be a difficult few weeks with key players missing, Briers and King mainly, i'd like to see Rhys Evans given a run whilst King is out.

Doesn't mean he won't be, they will only assess ligament damage with an MRI scan after the initial swelling has gone down. Need to wait and see.
It will be likely King will be replaced with Riley anyway, if Bridge is out as well becomes more problematic but you would expect Joel Monas going into the centres with Rhys Williams recalled from the Crusaders. We also have Blythe for cover. I would think they are in line before Rhys Evans.
Personally I was also concerned with the lack of form shown by players like Atkins and Myler.

| I think King is fairly easily replaceable, even a crap winger can't screw a team up that much.
Briers would be the bigger loss if he does struggle for next week, didn't see anything from Myler at all today.
Who have you got next week btw?

| Myler is a concern, just doesn't seem to step up at all. Very anonymous. Right about the winger though, Riley scored 30 tries last year hardly a poor replacement. One thing we will miss from King though is the fact that he makes as many tackles and drives as the forwards.

WTF IS THIS? Are you Mystic Meg, or simply Yorkshire's biggest helmet? A season is 27 games long, plus play offs.
Can't see us troubling the Grand Final, based on the first 80 mins of the season (where we've gone 40 mins with 1 interchange man), and players are still very rusty. You're either thick, or you've been topping up your Yorkshire Tea with something that's 40% proof.
Fwiw, my opinion on today's game
More mistakes than the last time I did maths homework
More rustier than Rusty Lee
Myler really needs to show he's going to be the long term replacement for Briers, or ship out. For the year he's been here, he's not. Vast improvement needed.
Injuries. Well blow me. They happen. How we deal with them is the acid test. We've had some dreadfull times with injuries in my 30+ years of watching. I remember Brian Johnson once saying "they are a fact of life. Deal with them".
Some good performances tho.
oohhh, and most important. Beaten by the better side. Well done Hudds.
HKR next. I'm sure Smith will have the troops ready.

| Everybody needs to calm down. 1st game, dont be so stupid as to judge a season on that. True fans dont just watch wins and wait to slag off. True fans support

| I think the league runs through to September with the Grand Final in October. As far as I know it isn't settled in February, and definately not after 1 game.
