I must admit I thought that spoilt the build up, Playing pop songs and shouting make some noise like they had to create an artificial atmosphere.
Had they turned the music off and he had shut up I think the place would have rocked with Wire songs. |

yeh have to agree mate, the music knocked the singing alot as you couldnt hear people singing 10 metres away from where you were stood. And were was the drum mate? |

I agree. We were near some speakers and had to shout to hear each other, never mind what people were singing a few meters away. |

I just found him annoying overall. I don't think any genuine Wire fan would need telling when to make noise and when to keep it down.
The only thing that ran it close in the annoying stakes was the fact that, despite this being a "Challenge Cup" homecoming, the amount of inflatable "European Cup" trophies that were being waved around was ridiculous.
I mean, they don't even look alike....... |
