Every player in the world makes cock-ups on the field. I think you are being over critical. His kick from the touchline was when it "absolutely counted" was top notch.

| Quote: Kevin Turvey "Thought Yates’ tackling technique, around the ankles and dropping them like a stone, particularly on Walmsley, has been superb.'"
he defines 'they cant run without their legs'... the number of times he simply chops down a huge runner with that tackle is amazing... sure, winning the wrestle and pushing the man backwards is great.. but when someone is in full flow and running straight at the line... you want Yates as first man into the tackle every single time.

I am absolutely not being overly critical lol. He is being paid good money in a team near the top of the top competition. He can't be putting in kicks like that when we had one last set to defend that should have started in their own 20.

Percival is off? Where to? I knew they had a few leaving, most notably Makinson but I hadn't realised he was gone too...

I think this game and the way we won it, is finally the monkey off the back (with Saints). However, it needs to be the catalyst for surgically removing the Gorilla that is our grand final record.

| Wire needed that type of game tonight, after three easy games in which Wires defence wasn’t really tested.

He's not transferring to another club I think, so presumably Gross Misconduct dismissal?

Even the best make mistakes no matter how much they are paid. The game is all about mistakes & taking advantage of them. Saints fans will not be blaming their defeat on him.

May well have been heaving. The lad does look like he's been bashed about the face at the best of times. He always appears very sh*gged.

| There are 4 teams left, and in my view, any 2 of those teams are capable of reaching the GF.

| I will read through the thread properly later, but what a match that was. We need to be honest and say: we got hammered in many areas of the field and could have been out of it before we finally turned the tide in the second half. Even then, we showed a bit of naïvété in conceding that last try.
It goes without saying but Williams is quite an incredible player, perhaps as good as I've seen in the half back position for Warrington. Without him, we lose that game 30-4.
Vaughan and Musgrove need to give us more or we wil be rolled by Hull Kr and certainly Wigan. I dont quite know what went wrong tonight but there was no grunt, no yardage and all our metres were from backs escaping from difficult situations.

| Philbins contribution in that extra time period was absolutely massive. Two huge runs of 10 and 15 metres a piece, to then defensively chase Lomax into going outside and having to play on the fly resulting in Percivals panicked kick.

I think you have to give a lot of credit to Saints. They were quick off the line and did a good job of smothering us when coming out of defence.
But there's a hell of a lot of resilence in the team.
I fear HKR more than Wigan to be honest.
