Williams had his poorest kicking game too. Williams is a short game kicker, but because our forwards were 2nd best, he wasn’t kicking short.

Massively short in numbers in the forwards in conditions that needed your best forwards there, generally hopeless and outclassed in most departments AND done very harshly by the match officials, yet we have been beat by just 7 pts.

I said going into this run of games that it was more about performance than result, and though the performance wasn't anywhere near good enough, to only be beat by such a small margin against a much better opponent on the night, makes me very optimistic for when we get our pack sorted.

I disagree. Last year we lose that game by a country mile, if we'd had one of Bullock, Philbin or Harrison fit we'd have won.

And Philbin tbf. Players getting themselves banned cost us dear tonight.

We did front up we had one forward in Vaughn and kasiano who’s a bench player starting. Grow up and don’t post when emotions are high

That last video ref decision was pathetic. As was the bounced ball for Wigan's 2nd try. Sky are happy anyway.

Saints next week let’s just hope we don’t get Kendal. 6-13 it’s not massive and we had chances to still win. Onwards to next week.

Think we would have settled for 8/9 and top of the league at the start of the season. We know why we couldnt compete in the middle and still made Wigan work for it. Some things to learn from too.

Some telling signs. Wigan celebrating like they've won a final. They can shout 'you're ' all they like but it clearly means something to beat us.

Second thing, they played a bad Saints side last week, we played a brutal game in France and came back patched up. No wonder we were goosed after 40.
