Maybe 4-5 years ago. I agree his best position would be as a utility interchange but he’s not our best full back and he’s arguably 5th best half back on recent showing. I’d be in favour of playing him at loose forward if we had a monster back but we don’t have that luxury.

Twas in the try saving tackle north west corner, he looked pretty beat up on the wing while play wound down, that being said he looked like he'd taken a shot to the ribs in the first set.

I half agree with you Clutch, the half I don't is your opinion of Dean's kicking from hand. I actually thought it was excellent (I'm trusting my eyesight here Magoo-esque at times) but i think he grubbered well set up try's with it forced a drop out we looked a lot better with our last tackle plays than we have done for quite some time.

Didn't think we'd get a comfortable win today, and would have taken sneaking the points in a scrappy affair at 3 this afternoon. Now I'm beginning to believe that Widdop and Ratchford are part of the problem, rather than the solution.

Well done to the young lads who are developing very well, and at last our academy set up is looking to bear the fruit that we've needed for a long time. Riley Dean ought to get more game time on the back of todays performance.

We need to offer Dean a contract PDQ and get him signed-up on a long term basis.

Ratchford, or the crazy deification of him has been part of the problem for a while. Thewlis’ stats have almost surpassed Ratchfords for the entire of last season….after 6 games and in a side doing comfortably worse. Bench at best from now on, Widdop can just go.

Spoke to him briefly after the game, and he wasn`t in any discomfort then, just on cloud 9 after scoring a hat trick.

Great win today, although there is something drastically wrong when we are better when both of our marquee halves aren't playing!

Sign up Riley Dean, if he gets a run now he shouldn't lose his shirt, regardless of who is available. Thewlis is already there, no way he should lose that fullback shirt now except for injury or a drastic drop of form.
