| Have it on good authority that Wire have £60k wages per year left in the kitty to sign a prop.
Powell needs to find a bargain.

Have you been fully informed by the Saints fans?

If its true and we have £60k left, best keeping our powder dry to see if anything moves in the NRL / SL and we can do our magic sombrero trick, move a couple on loan and get someone in.

| Is this 60k pre or post Bullock signing? I'd rather have a "better" prop rather than 2 x 60k props

| So at the moment we presumably have Cooper and Mulhern as starting props in 2022. Then (assuming Bullock has signed) 2 from the following 4 on the bench - Bullock, Philbin, Butler & Doro.
Cooper is great and Mulhern has impressed me this season. He should improve again next year. It's the bench options that worry me - Philbin hasn't really kicked on for me this year, Bullock is like Sita according to Wigan fans, jury is still completely out on Butler, and Doro, while willing, is inexperienced and a little small. Doesn't fill me with confidence really. Can't understand the lack of quota players either - seems like a waste unless there really is nothing out there worth having.

| I wonder whether that includes Jason Clark staying/ leaving?
If it includes him staying I'd rather put his wage towards a new prop and add 60k to it, that would then be a total of around 500k according to a reliable source in st Helens.

Yes, I think Cooper & Mulhern starting, rotating with Philbin and Bullock on the bench. Hughes @ 13 rotating with Clark. I assume Harrison and Butler to provide cover, although Harrisons injury was a tough one. I was hoping Bullock would assume a 5th prop position, from what I have seen, he isn't good enough to be playing every week (although not many have under Lam and Wigans use of their props has always been strange).
We need Philbin to really step up and get back to his 2019(?) form.

This won't be enough in my opinion to launch a serious challenge in 2022.

Based on past experience I would agree.

| We are so short in the front row department it’s not funny. I’d be amazed (and disappointed) if we’ve not got a big body with a big “name” coming in after November 1st. Kane Evans maybe….

Quite. I was hoping that J. Clark's wages might be used with those of Hill to secure a top prop.
