We know Powell is a great coach, but what will be the excuse for this performance from Price or the players. We didn’t lose t the more talented squad in a tight game, we had yet another dismal showing in a key game where we should have been strong favourites.

Maybe it really is time for some of the senior players to move on. A few fresh faces with some of talented youngsters coming through and we can sort out this apathy and losing mentality.

A club that doesn't sack a coach who leads his team to so many abject knockout performances doesn't deserve to win any silverware. How many opportunities to sack a coach well out of his depth does a club need?

I've said it before, as a coach Price lacks courage. When he takes the handbrake off we can rip teams apart, but come the big games or the slightest setback and we revert to ineffective, pedestrian, conservative and weak rugby.

We are resoundingly back to square one.

Is hard to say after watching that, but Price outsmarted Saints in 2019, will be interesting to see if Powell can in 2021.
