| I think the retribution against the Wire win must have been the subject of apoplectic seizure for the last couple of days. At least some Saints fans have been graceful in defeat.
I'm sure their first try had a forward pass in it.

Someone posted on Twitter that this was the 10th consecutive knockout win against Saints. Not sure if that's true or not?

| Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "this weekends result is turning out to be even better than the cup (final) win, the mickey boiling over the last 48 hours is on another level.
the revisionist history work on this match is a thing of beauty, the laundry list of things that if they hadn't gone against them, they would have beat us.'"
It's the same both ways though, surely you can see that. You are all talking as if you beat us by 60 and played us off the park. Had we finished off one of Taia's breaks in the last 10 minutes, this place would be full of threads about Chris Hill's captaincy and Price's future. Fine margins in sport.
The truth is neither side were in control of that game. We were awful for large parts of the game and yet in the last ten mintues we were 2 points down and we made multiple breaks in your half and just didn't finish them off. I said before the game that all the trophies this year are between those two sides and I'll stick with that. You've clearly got the edge over us in big games, so I'd have you favourites now but it's not like you're incapable of losing to someone else along the way and gifting the big prize to us.

What don't you agree with? You'd have all the Wire players over all the Saints ones?

Could well be, but I'd imagine that would go back to pre-Super League?

See the thing is, we're used to getting screwed out of victories against saints, see the phantom sinbinnings last year for soft , which turned games.
Or the forward pass that was so forward it time travelled to to 2030.

Grace can't defend..throw a high ball up players running at him and he.ll drop more than he catches..other end near try line he's deadly....average realty

| Got your excuses in before and after the game, at least consistent. The real consistency of course is the inability to give credit where it is due.

| Quote: Saddened! "Makinson was suspended, Percival is broken. He's lasted about 20 minutes on his last two or three returns from injury. I didn't think he'd start the game to be honest and it clearly backfired. Logical step is then to move Naiqama to the wing and then Welsby goes and tops it off by getting injured leaving Knowles and Bentley at centre. Not many teams would cope with that mess too well.'"
Your team were missing one outside back, and so did ours, hence a weak excuse before we even kicked a ball.
By the way, this is what you really thought after the game
Why can't you just give some credit to the other sides players and coach for being the better team for once, and just man up?

| Not sure about the backs, but let me tell you our forwards wipe the floor with the Saints pack - Walmsley aside none of them would get in the starting 13, and Alex is desperately trying to keep old father time at arms length.
Graham is shot
Roby is ok but a shadow of his former self
Bentley, Lees and Knowles all massively overrated
Smith not SL class, certainly not top 4 SL class
Taia ok but wrong side of 30
LMS mouth well ahead of brains and ability
Peyroux failed centre and nothing more

Lineham and Widdop didn’t play.
Ratchford is a lot better than Coote. Off the scale better. Taller faster multi positional Makinson over Charnley I’d agree
Grace over Lineham??!!! you’re deluded. Lineham is about 6” taller and 2 stone heavier.
Percival King similar.
Gelling Naiqama. 5ft 10” about 14.5 stone vs Gelling 6ft 4” and 16 stone ...ultra bigger and heavier.
Fages Austin...5ft 8” 12.5 stone midget vs 6ft 1” nearly 15 stone stand off...!
Widdop Lomax 5ft 10” 14 stone vs Widdop 6ft 15 stone halfback. Jury is out at the mo on Widdop, on paper....bigger heavier than Lomax. I like Lomax though. A trier.
