| I’ve just been playing along...
I’ll give you my measured thoughts now...
I haven’t a feckin clue what happened at Leeds.,,,and it was so bad it cannot possibly be a reflection of our team.
So I am happy with erasing it from our current form.
This squad has the ability.... however,
It has constantly been distrusted since the Gelling issue.
I’m not saying It’s Gelling here...
I’m saying that preparation, that seemed so perfect in tandem with our ability, changed from that point...
Those contributing factors in no particular order are:
Gelling saga himself
Hill dismissal
Widdop introduction moving Ratchford from hb
Ashton drop and injury
Everything I listed and perhaps other were not a part of our preparation. Thus being, our whole preseason was based in the side that took to the field vs Pies and Saints.
Now all that preparation is peed up the wall, and we have over a course, rebuild that to fix the demise in team confidence.
Once confidence is fixed....we would have fixed preparation....we have never lost the ability. It’s always been there. This team has the ability to beat anyone in SL and easily....we all saw it in week 1 and 2.
So I think Price will be sacked....no because this team is too good, but patience will be stretched if we cannot sort out preparation to confidence before the team heads down the tunnel vs Cas.

| It does seem to have coincided with the Gelling saga but I must confess I don't think the club could have done much else.
If they hadn't suspended him then they are wide open to accusations of condoning violence, so I'd expect the players to understand that. If they are sulking because they think the club has found him guilty before innocent then they are even bigger idiots than their on-field efforts suggest.

| How can any of this coincide with the Gelling issue exactly? We’ve been absolute garbage since Magic Weekend and not won away since July. What were the reasons for that if the last few games have been down to the Gelling situation?

If no concern about 2019...that was so yesterday.
My concern is 2020

It's the one thing the club has done right this season and Gelling has had support behind the scenes, I think the timing is coincidence.
The players motivation would have been high in the first two games and Gelling wasn't a Warrington player during our atrocious stretch at the back end of last season.
Irrelevant.

Ive no concern about 2019...that has gone but left us with a nice piece of silverware to look at but significantly had zero bearing on preseason preparation.
My concern is 2020

| This to me smacks of a pllayer revolt, pure and simple.
No team can play like we did against Pies and Stains then not have a clue after that.....they've beaten the big boys and now are deliberately hanging back to get rid of Price.
That's my opinion fwiw

Of course it’s cause for concern. We’ve started the season exactly how we ended the last one. Our attitude, our deficiencies and our style is an exact carbon copy of what we were watching last season, so of course it’s relevant.

Indeed, it still boils my thinking back to how we beat brisbane, friendly or not and moped through the season, getting beat away at bloody leigh

Agreed, this goes way, way back before Gelling's suspension.

What we did in 2019 had nothing to do with the pre season of 2020.

How can it go back any further than the point that preseason preparation took and worked in game 1 and 2....at where that changed?

| Maybe, but the contrast between the first two games of this season and the last three is huge and it coincided with the Gellibg incident, that's all I'm saying.
We obviously had problems with style of play last year and we looked to have rectified that v Wigan and Saints, and now we're back to square one.
Something recent has been the catalyst for such an abrupt decline, even allowing for the limitations of the coach.

Yes exactly that...Wire were knocked right out of the confidence zone what all preparation for 2020 had given the team.
There was no plan B prep so we had no confidence when plan A failed with Gelling. We had limited Widdop hb if any prep also.
