So Saints + Wigan won’t improve but Warrington will? How on earth can you possibly come to that conclusion? As a saints fan (we’re stronger in almost every position except second row) I see nothing to be worried about in Warrington whatsoever and from what I see you’re just saying what you want to believe and what everyone wants to hear.

With defence that good we didn't need to score more. Took them 60 minutes to get within our 10-20m. Scored a barge over with no time left and one with a foot inches away from touch that had ONE look from the VR. Aside from that they got nowhere near. And we bombed two tries that we would score any other day. Great all round game from the team. And we look so much safer without Russell + Ratchford turning it round.

You didn’t even look that good last night, very good in defence but bordering on clueless in attack again. Difference is we were fairly poor last night yet still win by 14 points, you play poorly against Huddersfield and you lose by 14 points.

I base it on the fact that your starting 17 are pretty much all fit and playing at the top of their game. Fair play to you, you've hit the ground running and carried on where you left off last year. You look red hot but I don't see anyone coming back from injury, out of form or on a settling period.

Wires have several players coming back to match fitness, and we are getting used to Price's new regime so can reasonably expect to improve further.

Instead of "delusional" why not try "optimistic"? You seem happy with your lot good for you and we can see signs of an improving scene here, so it hopefully bodes well for a decent game against you.

I think that we may win, the odds are probably suggesting that you are favs, but, it wouldn't be a total shock that would bring the delusional to there senses either way?

Back on topic, enjoyed last night's game, (great hospitality btw which the club seems to have got right). thought we should have been further ahead as half time but wasn't unduly worried.

M Brown looked steady we looked balanced at the back, some decent performances all round as stated by others, including Cooper, BMM and Goodwin AND also Jack Hughes who has had a lot of stick from me, particularly last season, but, I think has rediscovered a bit of his mojo and made a good start to this?

Hughes has been much better so far, cooper was awesome last night. If we can keep the 4 in the pack from last night fit then we have a pack that can match anyone IMO.

I expected us to win considering Wigan players are probably still suffering with jet lag/depression after arriving in Wigan from Australia.

We still seem to be missing something in attack, a good attacking team would have put 40 on Wigan but despite dominating territory we just struggled.

It's still early but I don't see us competing for trophies based on what I have seen so far.

All we are missing in a attack is the match fitness of Roberts.
It all be together in time for the arrival of the gypsies.
