I apologise for the pedantry over your grammar.'"
Thanks but no need, just banter. Yeah i said leeds and a few other clubs could be doin better,id much rather morgan smith was still at leeds than warrington, good young player but i dont think anybody would seriosly consider leeds your feeder club, just like wigan wouldnt be considerd your feeder club because you took ben currie from them. For every leeds scholarship lad you sign, learmonth and smith being the 2 most notable at the time they signed you miss out on loads more....Leeds could very easily do the same to warrington but theres no need because every year our scholarship produces some of the best players in the country and yours produce none worth taking

Actually Matt I think you'll find that's not quite true, I'm hazy on detail but I seem to recollect K Watkins was a Warrington lad signed by Leeds, Savelio by Saints and I'm pretty sure there have been signings by Wigan but at my age I have memory issues so can't be certain.

| I can remember Leeds taking a 17-year-old Terry Newton from Warrington.

Not sure which of the k watkins brothers your referring to but if its kallum he wasnt at warrington and what wigan, saints and warrington do between themselves isnt relevent to leeds not needing to take any of your players because we produce our own who are better. Builth wells wire....Yeah we signed terry newton from you 20 year ago when the whole academy structure was completley differant....He could of been on that list of 20 superstars you'v produced since 1980

He wasn't a Warrington lad but he did play for Latchford Albion. My memory is hazy too, was Savelio playing for Warrington's Academy when Saints signed him?
Not that any of this really matters, I'm sure we all wish there was a greater junior playing pool available to all of our clubs. More participants, higher quality etc

Spot Les, instead of the keyboard warriors spitting their respective dummies out we should all remember that the Academy pool is very much dwindling as each year goes by. Warrington have a particularly small pool and have to approach players in other Academies.
JW staying at Leeds is in his best interest at this time, the passage of time will tell if it was right for both. Is the newly signed contract a more appealing one than the previous one?
Warrington, Wigan, St's and Widnes are always moving players around just like Leeds, Bradford (were), Castleford and Hull FC. Some of those have bigger and more successful Academies, which some of our fellow forumee's forget this when it suits there argument, bless them all "

| Snaggletooth, a bit of light hearted leg pulling hardly deserves the accolade of "keyboard warrior " but again, due to age, I'm not totally au fait with the definition.

Agreed hook.....There was no keyboard warrior stuff going on in our discussion, just fans of 2 clubs talking about the merits of each clubs academys, with a bit of banter thrown in. What these forums are all about imo

| He played fullback for Leeds U19s v Wire u19`s yesterday, at Victoria Park.
He had a very "average" game, & I am being kind.
Will Dagger was outstanding.
I think Warrington will regret not making Dagger a better offer, to retain his services.

As an aside - if we win the Bev Risman Trophy in the middle 8's, will that make it to your signature biscuit?
You can't!

All the tries are here - www.therhinos.co.uk/report-no-st ... os-u19-30/
Dagger looks absolutely electric. I really hope there's no substance to rumours he's leaving.

| After a couple of really poor performances this was much better, i don't know player per player ages but for the most part of the game it looked like men against boys
I went to the game to see what was all the fuss about with Jack Walker and i came away disappointed, he looked flat and disinterested
Dagger was much better on the day but in regards of him leaving, i have heard he has a questionable attitude like when the going gets tough, he gets gone!
Can't see many more if any who will sign from this years group
