Admittedly I don't know your side as well as you do, but to my understanding Laithwaite is going playing League 1 next season and you have loaned Harrison out to Wakefield, I seriously doubt they would be in your ideal 17. The forwards I referred to are:

Mossop (would start at prop)
McIlorum (would start at hooker)
O'Loughlin (would start at loose)
J.Tomkins (would come off the bench at second row)
Clubb (would come off the bench at prop)

These must be the famous Wigan injuries referred to by every tv & radio presenter worth his/her salt.

I think Laithwaite is going to Canada playing Grimmy, along with Wheeler.

Laithwaite was a first team regular so yes he would have. Harrison also. two players who have career threatening injuries. one recovered and one still in the process. They'd have a place on the bench at full fitness but no coach in their right mind would name them in the final 4 games on the season when match fitness is key.

That's like McIllorum declaring he's fit and fat head throwing him in. it wouldn't happen. If he plays Sean O'Sicknote then that's a huge gamble at the expense of a filly fit lad with match fitness ready to go missing out.

There are plenty of players who go to Australia to play in a lower league. Why? the lifestyle. These are young lads after all. they want to see the world

If you offered me the choice of Wakefield or Living in Canada. I'd choose Canada every time. They're being bankrolled by a millionaire and the local government. He won't be on a naff wage that's for sure.

I remember about a decade ago, Pies blatantly spending over the salary cap to buy Fielden to play against us, in an attempt to cheat their way out of relegation.
As I recall Feilden was sat in the dressing room in his kit, waiting for the RFL to approve his registration to play against us.
Wasn't he ruled a Wigan player about 20mins before kick off? Now either the listing of the team sheet wasn't mandatory back then or the whole system is a farce and you technically can do as you please....or perhaps you can't do as you please unless your Wigan, who always seem to have a different set of margins to everyone else.
