| Sims talks great both off and on the field and motivates the team. However, he's lightweight and seldom if ever has broken a tackle.
Last season it looked like TS had finally seen sense by putting him on the bench as impact.
It worked, perhaps the most effective I'd seen him.
The week later he's back starting prop and played as predictable as ever.
I hoped Sims would have are a few more puddings during the pre season. He hasn't.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Sims basher. He has a very important role to play, but IMO it's better suited off the bench when defences are tyring to utilise his mobility to greater effectiness.

| Sims is a second rower for me which we are awash with. He plays with passion and commitment maybe a bit over enthusiastic with it at times.
We were outplayed today no excuses about injuries for me, the team was good enough in the first 20. Our heads went down and yours up when scored first try for sure. Our inability to change a game that's slipping away is what worries me.
I think that gidley has come in for some unfair criticism, passes didn't come off he's already played through a knock and been injured and this is catching up with him. Our ability to rotate rest players. Has been massively affected by the injuries. I think this is having a bigger effect than we think, was a clip of moores or Webster fending hilly off ad still making yards. We need bodies back and some need some recovery time
A lot of work to be done before next game in defence and getting the team back to the levels of enthusiasm these shown at the start of the season!!

| Chris Hill is doing much more than he should be to hold that team together ,as is Ben Westwood.

| Spot on. Hill and Westwood are non stop and they carried our team on their backs in '14 &'15 and they still do it now at times.
In terms of our structure and defense I think we really underestimated the input of Jack Hughes this season. He's been an absolute rock and we've been missing him the past two weeks especially.

| I was at Newcastle watching the game live but have just watched the full game back on youtube. I may have been a bit harsh on Sims as he did get through a mountain of work. He just seems to be one of those players that works hard without any end result but I suppose every team needs players like that to keep the playmakers fresh
Could I just ask what is Richard Agars official position at the club? watching the game every time the camera panned to to coaching staff he seemed totally disinterested both when you were winning and losing.

| Team. Coach I believe.
If he was to stop with the over dramatising and trying to ref the game sims would be noticed more for his work n effort more.
We look less of a side when he and hilly are not on.together slightly less when one or the other is on, I think they both appreciate the work each other does and it spurs them both on.
He reminds me slightly if a feildon type prop not huge but deceptively strong and has the heart for the front row.

| If only Sims was as effective and tough as he likes to portray. Not a patch on the likes of our other supporting forwards from recent history such as Carvell or Paul Wood. But Im told he finds the ground well, so that's OK.

Totally agree with Dezzie, I think Sims is 2nd row or a light front row. At our place i think he'd even be a light 2nd row behind Ellis, Pritchard, Green, Sika Manu and possibly Minichiello who runs well above his weight.
Maybe Ashton gives you a bit more mobility and has a step ??

Sims is well over 17 stone which I think makes him heavier than most Hull FC props.
People suggest Westwood isn't mobile enough for the back row then we have suggestions that Sims should be a back rower, if Westwood isn't mobile enough I'm sure Sims isn't!!

| Sims is light. However I'm not sure he would make a great backrower. I've said it on another thread, coming off the bench is IMO the best way to utilise his greater mobility than other props.

| Sims superb tonight. All in all, a very good prop for me, and a dead set starter. When we're good it's built on our front row proving they are the best in the league-like they did tonight.
Bailey did another good shift, and is proving his worth too. Looking like a good addition to the squad.

| Yeah Sims was brilliant, every time he caught the ball he changed directions and actually opened up a few gaps for us to take advantage of, not sure if that's a factor in how lazy Leeds were being defensively or not though.
