| I presume that meeting will be at jellybeans, and around 5pm, since you all need to be in bed for 8.

| Quote: Dropkick Murphy "Anyone who would report somebody to the club over something as trivial as setting off a flare is a busy body grass of the highest order and has no place in a working class sport such as rugby league.
If you don't like it by all means give the lad in question a clip round the ear and tell him to pack it in. If you aren't in the vicinity at the time but find out later that it was someone you know by all means have a word and tell him it didn't go down well.
However, if you would actually make a phone call to the club to report him then I hope I never meet your Tory self in person.
Back when rugby league was a true symbol of it's working class communities rather than some self marketed "family game" fans stood together and most important stuck together. Thatcher would be proud of how things have changed.'"
Are you being serious or what ? How about I stand next to you and let a flare off and see how you like it ? There's nothing wrong at all with someone contacting the club and letting them know the chav who let it off or don't you have a problem with troublemakers getting away with it ?

He'd be dead upset and cos his adidas star wars special edition trackie jacket & teflon coated M&S chinos would smell of smoke.
Honestly, i'm amazed this website hasn't imploded with paradoxial irony at Dropkick Murphy moaning about people moaning.

| It's a peculiar one this.
On the one hand there's nothing I hate more than the fans (i'd imagine) sit in the seven stars before the game sipping half a pint of "shagnasty's old rediculous" doing more moaning than victor Meldrew on the blob. Mumbling things like "bloody upstarts" and "back in MY day". there's two kinds of people inthis world - those that do things and those that do all except moan at people that do things. If a bunch of lads want to try to help create a good atmosphere at games than all power to you and i hope it works.
But,
what I saw at the Cas game was that at all. It was young kids, many of who had their backs to the game, text instead of watching and sing chants about darts and which mate is apparently stingy about handing round cigarettes. There's been a flare let off at the last two games and from the self-confessing posts on here it's someone from that lot. Now as funny as you may find yourselves, me and everyone else doesn;t get the in joke, and basically doesn't give a about getting the in joke.
Go and support our team, chant for our team, sing & clap for our team. It will become infectious, rather than daft , and having a go at other fans.
There's been comparisons between rugby and football fans on here. To me we're better as we (90% of the time) sing to support our team, where as soccer fans generally chant to slag off & aggravate the other team.. Supporters support, critics criticize.

In general really. They are just being teenagers, sure we have all done worse I know I have.
They are still supporters of the club, if people think they are going too far, self-police and tell them to wind their necks in. Simple.

I've seen flares lit in far more crowded areas than your ground (which is my favourite in RL incidentally) and no one went crying to stewards/bizzies.
Get a grip.

There's a few Helen Lovejoys on here. Teenagers acting like teenagers shocker. I look down and tut on some of the things my daughters friends get up to, but looking back I used to get up to far worse. I think people forget what they were like as teenagers.

Wasn't that down to something organised between Hull City and some Warrington based United fans?

I agree, but it's really embarrassing on here sometimes. Even with all the tourists who find their way into your away ends now, can you honestly imagine a flare going off in a Man United away end and loads of people crying to report the lad to the police? As if! It's ridiculous. Imagine the crys on here at Roma or Napoli away!
Quote: latchfordbob "Wasn't that down to something organised between Hull City and some Warrington based United fans?'"
From what I could gather, Hull City (who bear in mind had never played in the top division in their entire history at that point) had - indeed probably still have - a lot of banned lads who therefore weren't/aren't allowed into any football league ground in England or Wales under the terms of their banning order, any Hull City or England game played abroad, or any game played at the KC stadium which will therefore include Hull FC home games despite RL not being within the legal banning order.
Obviously though that doesn't ban them from Hull FC away games played at RL-only grounds, so...
Whether it was pre-organised with Man United or not I don't know, but it may have been. I was in the West Stand and it was obviously moody but I love atmospheres that have a bit of an edge to them.
