| went in place of my dad's mate when he was away (on holiday or business), as he was a season ticket holder.
I don't remember many of the first few games I went. I remember Bradford coming to wilderspool and Bull mania.

| parents used to take me from when i was 4 and had season ticket every year as got older remember seperating from the parents and sitting on the old green electricity box at wilderspool and meeting the parents after then when got slightly older progressed to standing with the band then to the corner of the away fans and not looked back since still miss the atmosphere of the "zoo" the banging on the corragated iron you could hear the atmosphere from town centre and the electric walk over the bridge

| My deceased father
All i'll say is try playing junior rugby for a team in which all but 2 support wigan, 1 saints lad and me and growing up with the majority of the family Wigan fans, it shows the dedication. There are only 4 people in my HUGE family who support Wire, ME, my little bro, my Gran and my uncle the rest about 40 of em, dirty pies

| My first game (as a 10 year old) would be either 1962 or 63 - but just too late to have seen Bevan. I remember standing on the Kop with my dad and uncle, being somewhat confused by the game and its rules - but obviously enjoying something about it, so much so that I've been a regular ever since. However, I did stray once in 1964 when, wearing black and white, I went to watch Widnes beat Hull KR at Wembley. Oh the shame!

I did go to one a while back, but I am not active at the moment as I am in the middle of a training regime to get back into shape. As soon as I do, I'll join back up as I believe my mate is still the society chairman.

The defining game of that season for me, watching us beat Halifax 19-16 in the game that IIRC secured our place in Super League.

I think it was Castleford at home that actually secured our SL status, wasn't that the game that Darren Burns gave it the full fist pumps after putting the ball out etc. I think the Fax one was a massive result, with Cas making it secure.

The Fax result was a huge one, hence why I may have thought that was the result that saved us. It could very well be the Cas game, but for some reason I just had it in my head that it was the game at the Shay that was the deciding factor.

| mine is a bit of different story, my dad (saints fan) was in the RAF so i lived away for the first 1 years of my life.
My grandad on my dads side took me to my first match, saints v oldham bears at KR in 1996 when i was 7.
The next season i started going to wire matches at wilderspool with my uncle using the £1 guardian vouchers before travelling back to cosford on the sunday evening. Been hooked since, when we moved back to warrington, in 99 i got my first season and have had one every year since bar this year cos i am at northumbria uni in newcastle.
bit gutted that i am missing our IMO best season wince i started following us but im kind of happy we are doing so well cos we are always on tele lol

Yup, knocked ball dead, fist pump and big 'ave it' shout.
That was the result that kept us up.

You still run up and down the terraces through peoples legs, thats why the stewards are always shouting at you!!!

| My dad was a big mate of Moggy Palin and I remember going with them both to Wilderspool to watch Wire v Leeds in either 1962 or 1963. It was a night match and I think the score was 2-2. Been some ups and downs over the years, mostly downs but been to 5 Wembley finals and have never wavered in my belief that one day our time will come. Hopefully we have now arrived. Keep the faith.
