| Only two things create an atmosphere. A good performance on the pitch and a good opposition crowd for banter. Personally I think if you have the two things above then you dont need "a drum". I dont mind the drum as on occasions it does get a little bit of noise going. Similarly I dont mind a Mexican wave. But the thing that both of those have in common is a) some people hate them and b) a good game with a good (split) crowd doesnt need them

| i also got quite ed off at ppl applauding the dragons onto the pitch.
Makes no sense, they are the enemy, there is no mercy for the weak as my old karate sensei used to say to me.

A Mexican Wave is synonymous with people who are bored by the game they are watching. It would have been very apt for the Wakefield v Warrington game earlier in the season. Due to the lack of atmosphere yesterday, I suppose it would have been apt for that also.

Same logic would dictate that you do not give applause for an injured opposition player being carried off.
