50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| Quote: Rob Wire "He's probably saying that he's been into the club shop and felt the quality of the new shirt and in his opinion the material is inferior quality to shirts that he's bought in the past, its not hard for anyone to work out what feels cheap and what feels like quality clothing wise.
People on here are already reporting issues with the new shirt which kind of backs up what the flying biscuit is saying, one of the local chavs in our street was wearing one yesterday so i went over and asked him of i could drag him around the street a few times by his shirt and give it a good pulling just to test the quality, he would't let me so i can't comment on the quality personally.
It doesn't look good though when youir close up, i agree withe the market feel comments earlier.'"
Really? It's that bad?
As you quite rightly say, it is down to people's opnions but to call it market feel is a bit excessive in my humble.

| Quote: Ian 77 Redux "So what you're saying is
correct on all points.....
i dont know how long it will last but based on last years kit which was poorly designed with the splitting badges... and the feel of the even thinner material this year...and the way it looked on a member of staff in the club shop, I came to the conclusion it was a cheap rag and I wouldnt be paying over £40 quid for it.
Maybe its worth £20 but nothing more than that....
as I said in an earlier post its like the commemorative end of an era shirt, which I bought as a keep sake and not to wear although i did wear it to a couple of games.... and when the players played in that it didnt last 40 minutes did it? they had to change shirts at half time.
the club have seen an opportunity to make profit by selling substandard items at top whack...and i think its a bit off...
dont get me wrong I'm not starting a man united green and gold boycott the club merchandise thing.... instead of the shirt I bought a hoodie, and one for My son, and I got him wolfie slippers as well... I'm not being ripped off with that horrible shirt thats all.

| On the main Wolves site there is a poll to see if youre buying the new shirts .....
Don't know how the figures are shaping up to last years.

| I think the replica kit is not up to quality again, and i will look to the training range or possibly the players shirt for this seasons kit. The shorts and socks are nice

You honestly think the club made a conscious to decision to instruct their kit supplier to make (what you say) is a sub-standard product because they thought it would make more money? Not only is that harsh but there is not a single shred of evidence to support it.

| The key thing for me is in spite of the collar, quality etc. is why do the two shirts have or need to have different designs.
Surely when samples were being looked at, someone would have pointed out that they don't look the same?
Shouldn't a "replica" shirt make you feel pride in your club?

| What are the sizes like with the ISC shirts and stuff, is large a true large etc, or do they tend to be a bit on the big/small side compared to your average t-shirt or polo shirt????

If last year is anything to go by, they are a bit on the small size - well I hope thats the case!

no they almost certainly didnt instruct the manufacturer/supplier to make a sub standard kit...nor did i suggest they did anything of the sort...
its a fact though that this kit is not as good as the canterbury shirt yet it retails for more. now either the buyers have cocked up and the cost price was so high they have to charge £45 to make a reasonable profit.
or the cost price is the same or less than the Canterbury kits, and the product is of a poorer quality and the retail price is higher thereby profiting by charging top whack for a sub standard product.
I have no evidance of cost prices thats true but my allegation that a sub standard product in comparison to previous years is being flogged for top whack still stands....
had the reduction in quality been matched by a reduction in price i would be fine with that....

| I walked past the new Wire kit in Asda today. It looks truly horrendous up close. Garish colours and just has a scruffy look to it, despite being brand new on the hanger.

On the basis you don't know what you're talking about RE cost prices (as you've admitted), why accuse the club of deliberately trying to rip people off? You certainly suggested that when you saidthe club have seen an opportunity to make profit by selling substandard items at top whack'"
That's almost as silly as suggesting the club will receive a batch of shirts and say 'you know what, some people don't like cotton. Some may even call it a rag. I know, let's drop the RRP of these shirts accordingly'.
You have every right to your opinion on an item of clothing and to vote with your wallet. However, again, it's out of order to accuse the club of deliberately trying to rip supporters off.

| Has anyone seen the Leeds / Hull / Saints rep kits? As in - is it a Warrington decision to have a cotton and different style shirt as the "replica" or is it what ISC are doing across the board with all of their rep shirts?

| just out of interest popped into the leeds shop today, and their replica kit is a perfect example of what a replica should be, brilliant feel to it, sponsors all looked good and material was nice, shirt matched the players exactly aswell, also no extra price for the larger gentleman!
all that i can see being the difference in the situation is the clubs, our club has messed this up, because isc, are able to make good quality kits, and are doing for leeds, so why are we allowing them to make anything different for us?
