Why this is headline news is beyond me. It's one of those things where the embarrassment of the picture going round the internet is enough, everyone can have a laugh at him, other players will rip the mick out of him for years. But now you get all of these do gooders on their high horse about it, they need to get a life.

How anybody can suggest it's cruelty to animals is crazy, a dog doesn't do something it doesn't want to do, if you try to force it to do something it doesn't want to do it will warn you with a growl and then it will bite you. It's a safe bet that if this dog had started growling, Joel Monaghan would have zipped his pants up quickly.

He's obviously invited the dog to investigate his meat and two veg and the dog is curious about it. These do gooders are saying it's degrading the dog but dogs don't care, they sniff other dogs' s and eat food off the floor, they don't have human concepts of degradation. It will have checked out the goods in question to decide whether they were edible or not and then moved on, the dog will hardly need counselling.

If he ends up forced out of the NRL over this then it's a farce but I would happily have him at Wire, he'd be one of SL's best wingers.

If the rumours are true that the Raiders are about to sack him and the NRL possibly de-registering him as a player then i wonder which of our clubs over here will entertain him, thats presuming he'd get a visa. Leeds certainly need a centre so you would have to say their a strong possibility, maybe one of the Hull clubs as well with FC being a stronger contender than KR given they have just signed Mason and he won't be on peanuts. Huddersfield is also a possibilty. Salford is a non starter as they have signed a lot of players already plus i doubt they could afford him anyway, i couldn't see Cas or Wakefield being able to afford him, Quins apparently have financial problems as do Crusaders. I'd say its between Leeds, Huddersfield and Hull. Personally i think he's overrated anyway.
