| I'm sure there are parts of the September 11 story that haven't come out but the idea that the US military/security services organised an attack on US financial interests is too much of a stretch of the imagination. People say they wanted a pretext to attack Afghanistan but they could have easily found one. When Tony Blair wanted to go into Iraq he just came up with that dodgy dossier saying Saddam could launch WMDs in 45 minutes, he didn't need to crash planes into Canary Wharf. In America, the public supports all their wars anyway, they don't need a pretext.
Stuff like the plane being brought down by its own passengers is a bit of a movie story, I reckon the military shot that down.
These Islamic terrorist groups have been trying to launch a big one for years, on that day they hit the jackpot, the idea that only the US could have organised it is too much to believe.

| Anyone who believes Loose Change needs their head testing. rlThis guys es all over Loose Change's parade.rl
RE some of the more popular theories, that the steel melted. The argument from the crack heads is that steel melts at over 1500 degrees C, and jet fuel burns at only 800 C. However, steel loses 50% of its strength at 500C. When the steel gave way (not melted) where the panes hit, the floors would have crumbled like a pack of cards.
As for the theory it was lined with bombs. The WTC was open 24 hours a day. I think one or two office workers would have spotted something if explosives were lined in the building.

| The whole of 11th september stinks to me. dont believe for 1 minute that an idiot like Bush or his cronies, knew that something was going to happen, but believe there are people above them who did.
no footage of the Pentagon being hit
a perfectly intact passport of 1 of the "terrorists" found at the WTC
initial reports of the plane being shot down over Pennsylvania
no blackboxes found at the WTC (supposedly unbreakable and can continue to emit a frequency for upto 7 days.)
16 of the 20 "terrorists" turned out to be alive and living in Saudi Arabia after 11/9
plus many others.
Definately dodgier than a sunday night kebab...

We're all entitled to look at a theory and the evidence presented by conspiracy theorists, and then reject the conspiracy theory. Just as you're entitled to look at the evidence provided by the authorities, reject it and present a conspiracy theory.
I personally have looked at the 9-11 evidence, including Loose Change, and simply don't find it plausible. That's my personal view, not narrow-mindedness.
Unless the definition of narrow-minded is 'someone who does not agree with you'.

Thats you being narrow minded surely?
Just because I have a different belief to you doesn't make it wrong.
My beef is with the people who mock peoples believes...If people believe in ghosts and the living dead, then so what? I don't. But it doesn't mean I'll refuse to accept their belief. Same as 9/11, I think there is something more. Other things such as UFO's I'm on the fence with. But I'm not narrow-minded unlike some to suggest 9/11 just happened, there are no such things as ghosts or ufo's. I have an open mind and love a good discussion about anything.
I don't just dismiss something just because I don't believe it. Do you?

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that I have read the argument and the evidence and don't believe the theory. Being narrow-minded would imply that I dismissed the argument without looking into it.
Though I can see no reason why I should not be able to mock someone's belief, as long as I have a coherent, reasoned, logical and evidence-driven argument. Such as the bizarre theory going around that apricots cure cancer.

Anymore key buzzwords you wanna throw it there?
When it comes to conspiracy theories, the majority of people who do not believe them mock/ dismiss others beliefs. I don't mock anyone's belief, regardless of how bizarre it may seem to me. If people wanna believe that monkey's were behind the 9/11 attack, then let them. Its what makes the world go round.

I think I can agree with you on the latter. Some of the more ludicrous ones on Wikipedia have kept me entertained on many a dull day at work!
