You need to study Play-Offs crowds over the last few years. For whatever reason, they are significantly lower than those for the corresponding league fixture.

Last year Saints recorded a full house for Wigan in the league yet there were 4,000 less on for the Play-Off meeting and that was a knock out Final Eliminator.

In reality, this first meeting means little with most knowing that it's almost a certianty that Saints and Wire will meet again in another two weeks time in a match that is significantly more important; this match on Friday is merely a jostle for home advantage, and I think we are all aware that home advantage doesn't mean a great deal in this fixture, historically.

I can't see there being more than 12,000 on on Friday and there will be about 3,500 from Warrington. In fact, I'd wager that the amount of Saints fans present will be less than what we average week in week out. The public apathy to the system, a system which renders an opening game virtually meaningless, will see a lot of people saving their money for possible bigger days out ahead.

The lower crowds are probably due to season ticket holders not going to games not included in their seasie.

It highlights a major flaw in the play off system too. We could very easily be looking at this weekends top four fixtures being repeated two weeks later and it will look a bit farcical if so.

I don't drive and don't live in Warrington to get the coach so thanks to the only station with regular trains to Manchester being a few miles out of town in St. Helens it's a pain for me to get there on Friday night.

The fear of missing THE win means I will be there, but with the liklihood of the same fixture taking place a fortnight later I'd consider watching on telly if we were playing a team I've seen us beat many times before.

Glory hunters are EVERYWHERE.... They come crawling out like slimey toads to soak up the glory while the REAL fans watch on in despair as they cheer the lifting of the cup.....HOW DARE they come along and enjoy the occasion.... Where were they for featherstone at home? Quins away?.... Paul woods quiz night?... NO... Didn't think so! Pah glory hunters.... STAY AWAY... We don't want any new fans anyway.

i've no problem with the so called "glory hunters" as a previous post states it attracts new fans i took my neice to the semi she then went to wembley and now she has the bug and she lives in banbury

How about someone who was a season ticket holder for years but then after getting a mortgage and a baby had to pick and choose games? This christmas me and her indoors have decided to forgo presents and get season tickets each for next year. Are we allowed back in?
