| Osdal - dreadful, worse ground in the league to watch rugby at. Although to be fair from the seats down the side you can get a decent view (sat there for academy games). Good for access and egress though although no decent drinking venues close by. 3/10
Headingley - great place to visit in summer awful if its raining. Can get a drink in the ground no problem if you decide to vacate the plentiful and not too bad hostelries in the locale. Pain to get to across the city and not the best for parking. One of my favourites though 8/10
Dave Whelan Stadium - about right size for no-mark Premiership football team but way too big for a rugby league club living on past glories. At least we should be thankful for Dave Whelan's charity in keeping the once famous club going. Decent to get to and park at if you know a snide route and parking spot nightmare if you don't. Never drink in the stadium or the locale: it's a case of get in and get out of the desolate wasteland that is Wigan for me. Not a bad view though and you keep dry. All in all not too bad - 6/10
New Craven Park - can be imtimidating with locals bieghing(sp) for blood through the fences. Not a place you want away from home in February or March. Parking is getting worse every year and now is a bit of a treck to avoid paying to park (plus there's load of dog crap on the way to the ground). Beverages from a caravan but decent range of fare available. If you go in the opposite end to stand up take your passport and clogs and bring us some tulips back - 5/10
KC Stadium - nice stadium, easy to get to not great for free parking with a better than 50/50 chance of avoiding a smashed window. Had a drink in a local pub once, never again - I thought we had walked on the Shameless set. Anyway any ground that segregates away fans in an area of the stadium that charges more for food and drink than it charges in home fans areas has no place in the sport of rygby league. For that reason only 0/10
Galphram Stadium - far too big for the needs of the Giants, souless. Crap to get to and away from. Some half decent drinks nearby and service in the ground isn't bad if you walk 20 yards away from the stall with a big queue. At least you can keep dry - if the jobsworth stewards let you - 6/10
The Willows - ground and locale is awful. Mad high terracing at least allows short-ar$es to watch the game. Won't be missed by many - 3/10
Hearwell Stadium - somebody phone the trade descriptions people if they are calling this a stadium. Anywhere that you have to leave the stadium when wanting a whizz when sat in the "main" stand is truly straight out of a Dickens novel. In fact I read David Peace's 1974 and couldn't get the picture of this "stadium" out of my head, I'm sure the novel was based here. At least you can have a peaceful drink over-looking the pitch pre-match - 3/10
The Jungle - sloping, open to the elements unless you want your view blocked by columns and a main stand that is small enough to fold away into a suit-case. Great for the kids though - they can go up in a cherry picker into a wet Yorkshire sub-zero night-sky. Why are there always about 15,000 walking to and from the ground down Wheldon Road pre and post match but only ever about 5,000 actually in the ground? - 2/10
The Stoop - fits all the necessary criteria. Neat and tidy, good parking near-by (you accept you have to pay down south) and great facilities. Unfortunately no fans and 200 miles away - 7/10
Stade Gilbert Brutus - bit crap really, chaos to get a beer but by the time we get there I've had enough. Crap view and poorly organise. Nice weather and location balances eberything out though - 7/10
Knowsley Road - it was wet on Friday. It has definitely served its purpose over the years but its truly the right time to put it out of its misery. Not bad access and parking and a decent drink if you want one. Look forward to going to Widnes instead of Knowsley Road next year - 4/10
So I reckon its Headingley for me.

| Voted KC, though I really like Halifax's Shay ground on a side note, it's basically 2 kops facing each other with roofs for atmosphere. Seating down the sides when finished, this is nearly a dream ground.

| By the way, this thread confused me with all the "official" ground names. I remembered what the Jungle, Galpharm and Stobart were but I had to use Google to discover the "Hearwell Stadium" meant Belle Vue.

Near the pitch? last true mixed terracing, quick access in and out of Wakefield, traditional RL stadium?
I hate it btw.

The mixed terracing is good. The pub I go to is one of the best I know in Yorkshire. The experiences of recent years beginning with Dean Busby are too painful to recall. It will be weird going there in the summer.
