Will you bother attending the Wigan game, or will it be the television again?

what an idiot...No they did not........ a team that beats the champions the previous week does not go into the next game a suprise package by any stretch of the imagination........
if anything Cas were poorer than I personally expected....still niggle too much around the ruck and deservedly got penalised (i thought they were worse than hudersfield at it last season by the way)

| Really good team effort again. Worked hard for each other. Sure, some individual mistakes, but also some individual moments which created the tries. Some good last ditch defence again. Keep it up!

| I thought this would be a close match and it was.
It was a lot tighter than the score suggests.
Key point for me was that the guys were really all working for each other for the full 80 minutes.
I am very impressed with Cas and Terry Matterson. Given they are nowhere near the salary cap, they have a very good team and will give a lot of others a very good run for their money. They may not have the strength in depth of some other temas (but that's yet to be tested), however based on the last 2 performances they'll definately finish in the top 8.
Just hope they sort a stadium out. It would be a real shame to see them kicked out because of that.

| Thaler didn't have the best of matches.
I reckon there were about 6 -10 wrong decisions and we possibly got the rub of the green there - say 60-40.

I thought they were allowed a great deal of leeway around the ruck. They'd clearly watched last weeks DVD and saw how Monaghan tore Quins to shreds on the back of a quick play of the ball and they did everything possible to ensure this didn't happen. Wigan will no doubt do the same thing, especially given that he did the very same thing to them in the Semi Final last year.
I thought we were patchy tonight, lots of dross mixed in with enough moments of class to take the points, but it fits well within the whole trail of thought that 'good sides win ugly' so you take the two points, hope for drier weather on Saturday and a better performance, which I think we'll get.

No they didn't. Not one little bit.

That's what happens when they aren't allowed to take their dogs onto the pitch with them. Was it McGoldrick that Thaler was looking for to have a word, shouting "Where is he?" or similar and all the time he was stood directly in front of him just 3 or 4 yards away?

| I can't help but think we'll struggle next week based on that performance. For an hour we were totally outplayed, we were one-dimensional in attack and were out enthused in defense.
I was very impressed with Cas' scrambling defense on their own line. They seemed to have all bases covered for most of the match and really played a physical game up the middle.
I was very disappointed with our self discipline and concentration, as we conceded too many errors for a side that should be challenging for a top four spot.
I know it's early days and a loss to Wigan won't end the season, but it's wins against Wigan that can give the team a massive confidence boost and string some good wins together early on. As both teams should make the top four at the end of the year, this game should give both teams a real test and an idea of where they stand early in the season.

| Another way to look at this is
2 games played 2 games won
How many games had we played last year before we had 4 points ?
