I don't see why not if Sinfield plays.

imo i think the game, against France will be Mylers chance to prove himself. If he has another shocker,Smith will play Tomkins. We all know what Tomkins can do,that nice little side step and dash.(thats about it).

I just think Myler has more about him then Tomkins.

After the way Smith masterminded the semi-final win exploiting Tomkins weaknesses leading to King's walk-in hat-trick I reckon that Smith is well aware that Sheens would spot the weaknesses just as easily.

Tomkins is too big a risk and has never produced in a pressure game. Perhaps after he's had more than 20 or so first grade games he'll be ready to make a mark in a big game. Until then Myler everytime.

And Myler has done it in bigs games has he?

I seem to remember Tomkins having a blinder against Leeds at home infront of 20,000 people. Oh and the must win game at Castleford he got MOM and scored 3 tries. Oh and last week in his first international he did the same. Oh and he did pretty well in the play-offs as well.

Tomkins is way ahead of Myler.

You need to take your Cherry and $hite glasses off mate. Tomkins has done nothing all year at any half decent level.

icon_lol.gif even most of the wire fans on here will laugh at that comment.

He has not got in the dream team, and got young player of the year and turned Wigans year around by not playing to a hald decent level icon_lol.gif

Not got the tempermant for the top level. Look at the semi-final. He had tears in his eyes when Matt King was laughing at him when he scored the second of his hat-trick. The Aussies and Kiwis would crucify him.

Stop being so biased.

And what has Myler done exactly that is so much better than Tomkins? Not that I'm disagreeing with Tony Smith by the way, but to see why you think Myler deserves his chance on what basis more than Sam? When was Myler's last good game?

Quote: Mini Rogue "David Waite IMO was heading GB in the right direction, the last coach IMO who made the correct selections based on performances rather than reputation. That was also when we had any realistic chance of winning test series against the Aussies, even though we didn't win any of them we was more closer then than what we are now and alot of the good work was down to him.'"

Mini Rogue you clearly know your Rugby League but i must pick you up on the bit in Red....

David Waite constantly ignored, played out of position or left on the Bench good performing halfbacks such as Briers,Deacon and Horne on regular occasions...

Sculthorpe and Farrell were played at halfback a few times...And i even recall him starting Richard Horne on the wing against Australia.....

Good work my ar$e....I thought his coaching was awful...

Yes it's quite obvious that smith is just picking all the Warrington players because he is Warrington coach. If only he had the coaching knowledge of some slightly dubious Wigan fans.

Myler was better against Wales. Its alright Tomkins grabbing the headlines off the back of Myler's grafting to create the space but it is the mis-tackles stats from Saturday Smith will have been interested in. England can't afford to have players who miss the number of tackles that Tomkins has at international level.

1) He tore the french apart

2) Read below.

Sam Tomkins

Appearances 22
Tries 12
Assists 7

Richie Myler

Appearances 18
Tries 11
Assists 15

and that is in a much worse team. Thanks for coming, it's been a pleasure.

Myler played against a French team that had other Super League stars in it and against a French team that had half a team missing.

Sam won the young player of the year award and selected in the super league dream team, Myler has hardly played since July. The only people who are thinking Myler should be in are Warrington fans, hardly surprising.
