I was loyal to Cullen, that's how I see it.

Anyway, back to the point of this thread. Cullenisms. They liven up what would otherwise be a fairly dry topic. We could have someone saying "Cunningham passes it to Graham who passes it to Pryce who passes it to Wellens who scores a try. There were four passes in that move and the defenders did not make effective tackles, so Wellens scored." (Actually, for some people who criticise Cullen 'effective' is probably too difficult a word). However, we have Cull talking about feet on the net, pendulums (pendula?) etc. I heard Geoffrey Boycott this morning talking about the ball "kissing the surface" and he often talks about the "corridor of uncertainty". Marvellous stuff, but hey if you can boo and slag off someone who tried their best for actually speaking in an articulate way about our sport, then be happy.

To be fair to the Clique I hardly think Rob is "slating" Clarke ...

sorry JWP but i only read the first two of the listed threads and Rob does give a reason behind his Critiques

He could simply say in a LWF style that Jon Clarke is proper $hit..... and leave it at that.... and have your full admiration

I by the way dont have the same opinion as Rob on Jon Clarke
nor am i fighting his corner....

but maybe have a look at your own posts (no i'm not searching for them) having clique style pops at Rob....Like MD does in his constant jibes at Robs attendance of games.....before you state you do not look like fools....

for someone voted funniest poster I dont understand how you can have a pop at a bloke discussing Rugby on Rugby discussion forum....

Its plain for anyone person to see that he couldn`t and can`t back up his claims that i slate Jon Clarke on a weekly basis, i asked him to post the numerous Jon Clarke threads that i`m supposed to have started on a weekly basis yet he can`t even do that, those threads he highlighted are in no way slating Jon Clarke, those opinions he highlighted ar in the context of a differnet thread and he knows that rather than them being a Jon Clarke slating session, he is clutching at straws to back his origninal claim up and he won`t do it because i don`t slate Clarke on a weekly basis..... The clique can be quite entertaining in their own little sad way

Ive actually praised Clarke quite a bit, not as a hooker but i think he could offer us something a lot different at loose forward than what the inconsistent Vinnie Anderson brings to the table, Jon Clarke has a fair kicking game from ball in hand and he is a much better player when he is running on the fringes in open space as per his performes at loose forward in the past.
