| £21 isn't too bad, but it's a bit steep when Wigan are doing a deal for an adult and a child for £10 in the East stand. They are handing a load of vouchers out in the Wigan schools.

| They're only doing this for their biggest game of the season, the rest will all be a tenner, to reflect the quality of their team
Either that or the extra £3 a ticket is the Tomkins trust fund aka (The please don't leave Sam fund)

| The east stand at Wigan ,is that the Wigan supporters stand ,the one with a pie crust for a roof ? So i can get me & my grandson in there for a tenner ? Don't know if i could stand the mind numbing W-I-G-A-N W-I-G-A-N all match though !

| Wigan away is my very favourite fixture of the season so for me £21 is cheap as chips.
I am sure everyone who reads this forum will have already gone to at least one Wigan away game (& proably many more) but if you haven't get yourself a ticket the atmosphere is fantastic with around 5,000 of us in our stand

I will second that, can't wait. Getting the train over from Hull in the morning, home and changed then over to Bank Quay for a few in the Berkerley and some tea before the game. It doesn't get much better, lets hope for a full house!

| Do the maths then try to think if they can truely justify a 17% increase in a time when most of us have either below inflation (CPI ~2.7%) or zero pay rises for the last few years......

Will have a leyther with us, who now refuses to go to Warrington due to most people's inability to differentiate between a Leigh and Wigan shirt! Once had a lad stood for about five minutes at Odsal in 2010 trying to tell him his team had got knocked out at Headingley the day before...

| If people can't afford then just get to the pub and spend your £17 on beer and a far poorer atmosphere, simple.
I'm trying to get this off, just hoping to get the bathroom finished.

The old I'm alright Jack attitude.
How much would it have to be for you to consider not going?
Quote: Towns88 "Do the maths then try to think if they can truely justify a 17% increase in a time when most of us have either below inflation (CPI ~2.7%) or zero pay rises for the last few years......'"
Is how everybody should look at it. It only takes a few years of prices creeping up a couple of quid per year before people are priced out.
Quote: Towns88 "If people can't afford then just get to the pub and spend your £17 on beer and a far poorer atmosphere, simple.

Or as Ferguson once put it, "F off and support Chelsea"
Quote: Towns88 "They're only doing this for their biggest game of the season, the rest will all be a tenner, to reflect the quality of their team
Not sure how true this is but if teams want to categorise the ticket prices based on the opposition this is fair enough but the away fans should be a set price.
Anyone on here who goes to Liverpool or United aways will sympathise with that.

| Unsurprisingly I agree with latchfordbob, and I'm a member of a football club's Supporters' Union which is affiliated with the FSF and at the forefront of the campaign to standardise away ticket prices.
I'm not going to the Emirates tonight but I know people who are and their tickets were £62. I'm going to Eastlands on Sunday and my ticket is £51. Supporters of "Category B" or lower away teams don't pay those prices.
Man City fans are having a difficult time after recently being upgraded to "Category A" status at every away ground, which they never were before. The likes of latchfordbob and I who always have been know how it feels.
Premier League clubs have largely got away with this because those "A" teams guarantee full stadiums, with plenty of people waiting to fill the void if regulars don't attend, but Rugby League doesn't have this (fortunately, because from the average fan's perspective it is not a good thing) so clubs need to be wary of above inflation price rises.
I'm going to Wigan and agree that compared to the Premier League prices I have already listed it does sound a bargain, but nonetheless prices in Super League are creeping up at a time when average household incomes are not, and that isn't a good thing.

So you would happily pay the same price to watch a game at the KC stadium as you would to stand on the banks of the Humber at New Craven Park?
