| It's really annoying to have half-witted about the moon at half-time, but much worse to have irrelevant crap throughout the match itself, they would be crucified as radio commentators, because they don't ever say what's going on on the pitch, too busy bollocking on about Stevo cutting Briers' hair or whatever else drops into their attention-span deficient little airheads

| I also think they had Rod Studd waffling on while Atkins was making the break and putting Trent in for the try.

| Yeah it was the usual rubbish. You wouldn't have known there were two teams in the first half.
I don't understand the supposed 'obstruction' at all. The players didn't cross, Atkins ran at the side of Waterhouse. And as mntioned; he didn't impede anyone. Comedy tackling by the Saints players though.

Rod Studd correctly predicted ( against the perceived wisdom of League Express, 40-20 and Stevo, who all went for Pies v Saints ) that the GF would be between Leeds and Wire.

| Cullen's comment "That pass was a fortnight forward" made me laugh.
As for Lomax being obstructed and prevented from making the tackle was a load of bull as he did make the take just very poorly.

| Quite how he was obstructed by Atkins is unclear when he did actually manage to touch Waterhouse. He was MORE obstructed by his own team-mate in the frantic scramble to actually try and stop Trent getting away.

| I was working last night, so had to put up with Radio Manchester
Kinsella (ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr) came up with comments which have totally baffled me, since I've watched the Sky coverage.
But Paul ####### Rowley, was unbelievable. Someone earlier said that the 3 amigos looked like their dog had been put down. You should have heard Rowley's tone of voice whenever we scored. I'm sure he's got The Samaritans on redial on his mobile phone

Thing is, to the letter of the law, that's crossing, as opposed to obstruction, see Brett's disallowing try last week, it was exactly the same thing and correctly chalked off. Wrong of the vr to change his opinion of it one week before the end of the season though

Lefty did you happen to catch the R.L. programme on Thursday night...Jack Dearden was still bleating about Mickey Mc's ban being too harsh..! And i wish i had a quid for every time the name Sam Tomkins was mentioned.. They should change the name of that station to Radio Pie eater..!

| Quote: Roddy B "Am I right in saying Stevo said that Lomax was obstructed because he couldn't see Waterhouse? Is that what amounts to an obstruction now? For me, for that try good old common sense was used. Lomax was barely hindered, it made little difference and getting the obstruction call for that would have been poor form on the VR for me.'"
what got my back up on that call the way they was talking about it being a obstruction for a good few minutes after the try was awarded complete pack of tools the lot of them even cullen at times , they are so negative all they want to debate is high tackles foul play etc its allways the same , a high tackle will be looked at over and over again

But they didn't cross! Last week, the players involved did cross. Atkins just ran at the side of Waterhouse.

| They just bore me... I want commentators who know how modern rugby leaue is played i.e pointing out things that I would have missed.... not just come out with the same cliches every game, and don't know half the rules.

| I'd back Bentham to know more about the interpretation of the laws of the game than Pinky and Perky and the vast majority of fans. I would never expect an on field official to have to explain his decision to the viewing public, he sees an incident once in real time from one angle - he is bound to make mistakes (the best officials keep those mistakes to a minimum). However, on occasions such as last night I think it would be nice if Sky and the RFL allowed the video ref to explain why he came up with a particular decision, I would not however, allow those two bufoons to cross examine him.
Best/Worst bit of commentry for me was when they harked back to McDermotts comment on Friday about referees letting play go on. The incident in last nights game was when Thaler blew up because Saints players where 2 or 3 metres offside - he can't just allow play to continue because Sky Pundits and Coaches want to know how a set concludes.

I'd rather listen to my alarm clock going off at 5:30 after 8 pints of Guinness, than listen to Laurel and Hardy (Hunt and Dearden). That Thursday program is awful, but surprise, surprise, Radio Manchester are still prefering Wigan. It's like going back 20 years to the total impartiallity of "Me, Rodney May", who wouldn't dream of favouring Wigan.
