now i have been going to cup finals for 25years and i have never seen scenes like it in my life who on earth do you think you are,me and my pal walking towards wembley and a wire fan stuck is face in my pals and just said scum why?
wire fans fighting in the pubs ,outside the pubs on the street corner near wembley amongst each other.
apparently the trouble that errupted in the wire end started with two women arguing then all hell let loose.
in the greyhound after the game you were fighting, police and ambulances were there.
on the tube going home you were fighting in a packed train. i aswell as the rest of my pals are totally disscusted in what we saw.
and to top it all off we saw a women about 55 yr old punch an old man then throw a full bottle of vodka at him. scenes which ive not seen at wembley before,i know all teams have there idiots but for me there were too many instances over the weekend sorry, you know who you are that contributed to these violent scenes i hope your happy at frightening the life out of the young and old.needs to be erased from rugby at all costs.'"
I'm sorry I really find all this a little hard to belive, why an earth would someone throw a bottle of Vodka over someone, their are cheaper ways. Sorry unless all or even some of this is substantiated by someone i will take it with a pinch of salt. Where have you got all this info from, surley u never saw all this. We all have our scroats but your talking about all out rioting. I am not sweeping it under the carpet i beplore violence anywhere BUT???

| Violence in the Warrington end was there for all to see however there was a large pocket of leeds fans in there who seemed to cause the outbreak by throwing beer over the Warringtonfans. The RFL need to look at the way that they sell tickets and keep both ends for the clubs that get to the final only.
There was a fight outside the greyhound between Warrington fans with 1 bloke who apparently was trying to calm the situation being left in bad way, police and ambulance on scene. This also appeared to be fuelled by Alcahol.
Unfortunatley people not handling there beer seems to be an overiding factor but whats the answer.

it's funny because apart from the trouble in the lower part of the ground alledgedly started by leeds fans, i saw no trouble at all, i was in the greyhound pre and post match, got the number 18 bus to where our mini bus was parked with a load of leeds fans who were nothing other than polite. it appears you must have the nack of seeking out trouble, next year i suggest you dress as batman or another crime fighting superhero! with your highly tuned crime detection abilities and a whole year of kung fu training (you've got a year from now till next challenge cup final) would mean that no one would dare to cause trouble. add that to your brilliant ability to report events in a non biased manner would mean the world would be a safer place!

| I'm in my early sixties (a mere child really), but remember the good old days when fans stood shoulder to shoulder, had heated debate but at the end of a game wished each other well and moved on.
Why is it different now?
Alcohol.
Sadly some fans abuse it, and good people get caught up in the fracas. When women and young children are frightened to go to a game than something drastic needs to be done.
We , the real fans need to help the police and clubs to identify the idiots (even if they are friends) and get rid.
BTW I like a beer as much as the next man.

| I was at the Greyhound after the game when the trouble kicked off. It seemed to be instigated by a guy not wearing a team shirt. As usually happens with scuffles more people got involved that maybe shouldn't have and the police were called along with an ambulance. I just hope the guy that was carted off is ok.

Yeah like football but people would just drink before the game, the only thing that would prevent is the throwing of beer.

| Never have I seen so many lies in a single post that hasn't been contributed by KingPieWarriorAttack or Mother Feka.
How many people coming on here moaning about all this violence have reported it to the RFL, the Metropolitan Police or the clubs of those involved?
I'd put a fair whack of money on this being nothing short of an opposing clubs fan trying to tar the reputation of our club and trying to put a negative slant on our success yesterday. If this isn't the case, then the contact details of the RFL, the Met Police and Warrington Wolves are readily available on the t'intermationsuperhighway. Nothing will ever be done if all you do is come and gossip about it on an internet forum.
So either do the right thing, or shut the hell up
Possible red mist induced rant over

Maybe this could stop 2 or 3 fights out of 10.
It could all start be a pint being thrown. :/

Thats the risk of having tickets available on sale for a year before the final. Tickets for next year will be probably on sale from next week.
Plus its the one of the things I like about the game is the lack of segregation. It should be remembered, incidents like this are extreamly rare in rugby league.
Hopefully the remainder of the season will pass without major incident.

| BAN BEER...BOLLOX
If i was to list the ammount of alcohol i drank yesterday we'd be here all week, i had my first gin&tonic by 0730am, not once did i misbehave, alcohol is not the problem, people are dicks before they have a drink, if they were sober they'd still fight.
banning alcohol treats us all as criminals, why should i be penalised?

Fair point. Segregation would stop these fights, apart from the odd idiots who think it's a good diea to fight amongst themselves with the same colours.

Don't worry they aren't going to ban beer any time soon, it makes too much money when you can sell it at the prices they sell it at sporting games. If they banned selling beer at grounds then people would just drink more before they came so you may as well take the punters money if they are going to drink anyway.
If there's a few idiots here and there it doesn't really cause a problem for the organisers, yes it gives everybody on messageboards something to talk about but it's simple, if somebody commits a crime, then it's a matter for the police to sort out. They have CCTV everywhere, you can't walk without Big Brother watching you, and you can't order a ticket for Wembley without Big Brother knowing Who You Are And Where You Live, so when people go swinging punches in front of CCTV at a rugby league game they aren't doing a good job at covering up their crime.

| I was sat in block 505... Sat with my ten year old son.. some of the wire fans are total scum. One bloke sat behind us was drunk spilling his ale over the man sat next to me and chatting absolute rollox all the way through the match.. shouting come on its a final cheer em on... you know the sort!. He ended up haveing abit of a pushing contest with an old guy sat behind him who had had enough of him standing up.
Another two blokes sat infront of us were smokeing like no tomorrow.. i dont actualy mind smokeing but not nice when kids are about...
About two seats down to the right of us a fight broke out between a muscle, tattood thug and a large bloke sat with his son. the large bloke lunged forward going down about 4 seats down and takeing the thug with him..it must of took out people sat below them. the large blokes son was crying.
I kinda just made a joke out of it with my lad and we stood there laughing at them. we were to over joyed with the result and nothing was gonna spoil our day ... but its not good realy is it!!!
