| Agree Dion minimal disruption to the team will be the best bet for T Smith, the squad on paper will be a match for Hudds but I am just a bit worried about us missing Briers tactical knowledge and infulence on the the team in tight situations. It will be interesting to see how Myler will cope ( could be the day he will shine).

| Mylers strengths are in his support play and being in the right place at the right time. It remains to be seen whether he can boss a team round the pitch ala lee briers.

I know where you're coming from, we'll all find out in good time I guess. What I would say, and last week showed this somewhat, is that Monas is basically a third halfback at hooker. He can step out of dummy half and kick on the front foot, as he did last week with a 40/20 and some intelligent 'field kicks' and he can direct the ship from nine.
What we need from Grix & Myler is them to unlock defences with creative plays, the team to run the right lines, the right passes stick etc. So in effect, they can be themselves, they don't need to worry themselves too much with bossing this and that, I think the communication in the side is much better now anyhow, folk talk, folk know there roles. These two blokes, just need to create tries, that's where we'll miss Lee most.

For me we need cover for Louis, Ben W and Ben H , so put Vinnie on the bench and leave Chris Hicks out.

Myler can create tries he got 15 assists for Salford last season in 18 games, its easy to forget he's only 19 though his game is only going to get better.
Really tough game this though Hudds will be will up for it not to mention they are a very good side anyway going to be a really big test for our lot looking forward to it.

| yeah i'd keep it the same, try grix in the stand off role and see how he goes ... i really dont rate vinnie, his defence is woeful and apart from a few good games he doesn't even deserve to be on the bench in my opinion.
the bench should be: solomona, higham, wood, hicks

| I also think we should change as little as possible. For this game Hicks should be 18th man unless Bridge doesn't make it in which case move King to centre and Hicks onto the wing. If Hicks doesn't make the 13 then I wouldn't put him on the bench against Huddersfield as I feel we are more likely to need extra 'grunt' up front.
