Briers has been an unsung hero for years, passed over with no good reason for international duty time and time again.

One of the best players in Super League, and I do think that if he hadn't picked up that injury, the scoreline would have been reversed or even worse.

Wigan and Warrington, on their current form, with fully-fit squads, I honestly couldn't say who would win. But tonight's match was certainly a classic and has set the bar high for the rest of the season.

Just seen the replay and it doesn't look good. Think he could be out for at least a week or two.

Thought to myself as he limped off ''If they come back now, it shows how much we need Lee''

As you said though. FINGERS CROSSED. icon_razz.gifRAY:

He's never been good enough to play internationally though. His best and most influencial performances have come in the later years of his career. Early on when he should have been in the reckoning he wasn't consistent enough, although that was possibly because the 16 around him weren't good enough. Tommy Martyn barely touched the international arena either and he was a lot better than Briers until he retired. Tomkins is the obvious choice these days though.

Coupled with the fact that we (Wigan) switched Deacon and Tommy to 9 and 7 respectivley.

Either way, you'll hope he's not out for to long, he's the lynch pin of your team, and you could suffer big time with him out.

incorrect the turning point came not from his injury but came at the point roughly the same time where Deacon switched with Leuleui with Deacon taking over at 9.

Regards his injury i would be very surprised if it was a break, but he will certainly have ligament damage which could be worse than a break regards time off, especially at his age.

Definitely the turning point when Briers went off, and largely because our kicking game went to pieces! A lot of them were straight down the throat of the winger or full back giving them all the territory.

We need him back, asap.

Whilst he's absent, we're looking at one of Grix & V.Anderson stepping into the halves really.

Please don't move Monas.
