Interesting to read the in fighting on the Leeds forum ( in regards to rumours mainly) and the Westerman and Clark subjects. .
Westerman (according to the Leeds forum) wanted to go to Leeds but they weren't willing to pay a transfer fee so he came to us as not his preferred option.
Clark has been offered to Leeds. They even had accommodation sorted for him by all accounts. He also( again from the Leeds forum ) never wanted to leave Cas And we also tried to back out of the deal or some rubbish. So he twice over is not at his preferred club .

Add to this Dodds had also said he wanted to stay in the nrl.
Does anyone want to be here. ..its this all bull or a real problem. ..

Gidley also seemed to lament his leaving Newcastle in the way he talked about coming to Wire in an interview I read. He said something like "I've had a good career", which sounds pretty naff.

That said: Sims was very vocally not ecstatic to be leaving the Cowboys, but his dedication last season was excellent and not something I expected after all I saw from him about leaving the Cowboys.

Who knows what the players REALLY think? As long as they put in the effort. Westerman an is an interesting signing and I assume the club have in mind a Grix type role for him. Here's hoping!

The squad is shaping up nicely. Several players underperformed badly last year, so if they get back to their undoubted quality (Atkins, Bens Harrison and Westwood to name three), then things are looking up a bit. We are certainly not being complacent about it. It must be Smith's last chance though.

It's looking really positive for next year. I think we've made some quality signings with hopefully the best of Sandow still to come. Ideally if we could add a bulldozer prop then all the better but I'm really happy with the squad we have.

Do you really think we're d how much our club spends on players? We have the richest owner in the league. I couldn't care how much we spend on a player given that we can more than afford it.
