He definately has point about Wigans tactics! it lets the sport down seeing Tomkins roll around on the floor like Nani claiming that he's being held down!

Hull went after Sam today. High tackles 3 or 4 times, taken out in the air. Someone should have been sin binned earlier.
First punch up should have had both Yeaman and Joel sin-binned. Nowt happened and then some clever man gave Joel the first hit up. Not seen a replay but looked bad at the time, no arguments there.
Thing is though, if Joel hadn't have kicked off + subsequently got sent off, we'd have lost. We just looked completely flat today, took that to get us to wake up.
Thrilled with the win though, had no right to get anywhere close to winning it.

Teams will always single Sam out,he's a threat but still theres no need for the high shots on him though. I'm looking forward to seeing this game on boots n all, being able to have my own opinion rather than sharing it with what the radio said! Still most of the events of the game could have been stopped with a little bit of disipline on both sides.

| would you say we look the strongest so far this season? saints and leeds havent been convincing (wigan 16-0 up and saints claw back) and wigan seem to just be above average.
obviously the table tells its own story with hudds and cas up there, but im optimistic of us this year, think we can win it, hopefully

| Just got a text off my pie eating friend 'Joel Tomkins in hospital with a broken jaw'.
Not sure how much truth is in it as he hasn't text me back since i replied.

As GMR commentary said just after Tomkins kicked the winning goal with about 2 minutes to go, something like 'we can now hear the wigan crowd for the first time'. : On the final wistle they called it an ugly win.
As we said after beating wildcats on Friday, a win is a win. Some games you are happy with the 2 points.
Now did the term 'ugly' refer to Wigans aggresive game or just a dull game on Wigans part

I think you'll find out it is Deacon. He was taken off early in then first half and went straight to hospital.
Sam Tomkins took lots of high shots, and Ganson put one of the Hull players on report after the fourth.
Joel deserved his sending off but in fairness to him Yeaman had just smacked him off the ball and Wigan got the penalty, which started the first fight. Ganson should have binned both players.
From the penalty, Joel took the ball in and went straight for Yeaman. As he got close Joel raised his elbow and was deservedly sent off.

As stated though, I wonder who's idea it was to give him the first run in? Gormless.

I think the fact that we still haven't lost whilst having key players out makes us look the strongest. I looked at our backs on paper today and we were missing Gleeson, Roberts, Richards + Finch. Fieldens also a huge loss but Mossop + Prescott are stepping up atm.
Playing woeful like today and still winning, good sign for me. Once we start to get these key players back our form will improve.
Think it will be a Wigan/Wire 1+2 though, whatever order. Saints look poor and Leeds have a poor coach. I hope Quins + Cas can keep up winning as it'd mean some different sides near the top.

| Just saw the sending-off on Sky Sports News and really doubt that he will be available for when we play them. It wasn't clever and obviously pre-meditated following the incident seconds before.
When we do play them we'll have to be careful about O'Loughlin's long passes out to the wings. His two passes that laid on Charnley's tries reminded me of a couple of Dan Marino's passes.

They still count though, and that's all that matters.
