Three marquee halfbacks, plus the incumbent England stand off (not suggesting that he should’ve been, just a fact) and the best 9 in the competition. There can be no excuses.'"
Ha, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to justify lack of success, plenty of years of practice!

| So where does Austin end up next year.
If Sezer is going to Leeds and Fages is going to Huddersfield then surely Saints would need a new half back.
If Austin was going to end up at Saints he wouldn't even need to move house and shift his collection of trainers.

| Naiqama is on pennies they reckon? Wait a minute.....we offered a fortune for him to come to us. Then signed for them, is he doing it for the love of the club then? I think they'll fidn Naiqama is pushing marquee wages.

Saints will go with Lomax and Dodd at halfback next year - we’re not planning on signing a halfback (that we’re aware of - for whatever that counts for).

| Quote: Magic Superbeetle "I’m going to assume that last sentence is in response to my post on the “estimates”. Whilst I will openly admit not my best work; it was also not a post worth much consideration.
To reiterate, my two points were;
a) I don’t think Warringtons backs are particularly disproportionate or overblown compared to our backline for example (even if my comparisons were wildly off base individually).
b) guessing contract values is a pointless endeavour for all fans involved.
I have also (repeatedly) said the Williams signings with the outgoing seem perfectly reasonable and any suggestion of “cap shinanigans” is baseless at best and otherwise farcical.'"
i've just gone back to have a look, yours isn't too bad, its the nickles forearm post i was referring to.
The two i've highlighted, if he believes that then i dont want him measuring my carpet, he's either winding himself up or trying to wind the others up on there to have a pop at us.
there's no way that ratch is on 250k,some might over rate him, some might under rate him, he may not consistantly be the best fb in england but ththats stupid money there.
Likewise for naiqama mamo, we picked mamo up as a late off season cheap squad filler after mitch brown retired, there's no way there's any comparison in salaries,
The other thing i noticed this morning, someone stating that we came out and announced that austin wasn't a marquee signing when we signed him. I'm pretty sure it was the opposite.
I would guess that Williams isn't being classified as a marquee this year, we'll be taking full hit of his wages for the year, then when austin goes he'll be shifted to accomodate.
Again though, the three halfbacks thing, is interesting, when widdop is fit, you do wonder who's going to be left out, one would assume the easy option is to bench or drop austin completely.
OOOOOOOOOORRRRRR knowing price's tendancy to tinker needlessly, he could drop widdop to FB.
ratch to 13, though the last time we did that it didn't go so well, but it would also help out in terms of us being short on middles for the rest of the season.
Who knows, the Kr game wont tell us much, but the wigan game(unless we've got another one between then i've forgotten about) widdop should be back.

Thats the one, i've not bothered to memorize the fixture list this year.
I'd give him a run out there.

It's a rather special combination of the paranoid, the delusional, the obsessive compulsive and the neo-fascist. A lot of which, the first three at least, I suspect is brought on by an inferiority complex, and possibly a form of imposter syndrome, following all those years of Wigan and then Leeds brutalising them.

you know, we're entering into something new, bentley and coote leaving for other teams is not something they're used to , players that they want to keep opting for other teams, it bubbled slightly last year with thompson, but this year its different, they're used to being top dogs and retaining who they want.
There's a reason its being alikened to gary connolly and andy platt signing for wigan, Its unthinkable to them.
Willliams is great though.

I spoke to Gareth before the Leeds game. He said he was seeing the doctor the following day and he said it would be about 4 weeks before he would be back.

How long will be it be before Wigan fans stop bleating about the coach? About their poor recruitment, enjoy Miski i mean he's really what you need a winger from the lower divisions who couldnt hack the NRL. I'd be underwhelmed as well, deflecting attention from my own clubs issues in a small way to try and make yourself feel better.
Obsessed......
