Let me guess - your mate was p*ssed as a fart? Drunk people always want to shake hands.
To be honest these problems would not have happened if people A) got into the stadium on time and B) behaved themselves and found somewhere to stand where there was room.

Mainly middle aged men, vexed out of their heads acting like a bunch of teenage chavs. There was at least three occasions when the said goup launched beer down onto the stewards at the bottom, that was probably why they were staring into said group. Who was the idiot on the green polo shirt?
I understand it was your big day out, but it doesn't excuse the behaviour of some of the yobs that made the trip from Featherstone. So before having ago at the stewards, who I though were very lenient yesterday, have a look at yourself.'"
Please don't dare critisise the "mighty" featherstone rovers their fans are a touchy lot and threaten to ban you!

| After the beer throwing a girl steward stood and pointed the lad out several times yet no-one approached him over it and the were several smoking too but yet again nothing was said.
As I mentioned in a previous topic a couple of weeks ago(Wakey match), a fight broke out in front of us and about 8 stewards ran along the front, lined up and stood watching until the fight stopped.
I asked the same question then "What are they there for"?

| Before yesterday I had a soft spot for featherstone. After what I saw from their fans that has changed. It was the fans causing the trouble in the first place by getting their todgers out in a pub which had women and children in it,throwing beer, making threats, telling you to "F off" if you said hello to them, etc, etc. Should their fans be allowed to come on this forum and openly slander our club after behaving like that? In my opinion they should not!

Lets not tar everyone with the same brush - if anyone should know not to do that it is us wire fans.

God knows - maybe it is just a man thing! Nothing worse than having some drunk try to shake your hand when you are stone cold sober!

It's usually the Oirish. There was one with an eye missing in the Kings Head who was constantly doing it after the Bradford game.

If you think the Rovers fans were bad then I'm afraid you haven't seen bad fans, boisterous and loud but in good spirits.
Some of the stewards are neanderthals and need some proper training instead of antagonising the drunken easily antagonised.

Who would want to do that job on minimum wage though? Those who are hard up and those who want it to kick off.

The ones in organge vests are all trained bouncers - they have their licences on their arm.
Shame we have a 5 page thread discussing this rather than discussing how well Featherstone did.

| That says it then. All bouncers secretly want it to kick off, in my opinion.
