Every Cas score was off the back of a penalty. In those conditions most scores come from penalties.
Scrappy game. But Im just glad for the win, went into the game with only 2 recognised props. By half an hour we're down to 2 interchanges left fit. This week was always going to be tough and to be 2 wins from 2 at this stage is all I could ask for.
And for any smart ar$es, I haven't got back quick, I wasn't able to go

| If I was that numpty Gliding Warrior I wouldn't be on here tonight. I can't wait till we play these now. They really struggled tonight against as team who was missing 11 or so first team players and was helped out by 2 dodgey video-refereing decisions. We beat Cas 108-14 over two games.
Can't wait!

They probably were, thats what I said in that most scores in those conditions come from penalties. Was just trying to even it up from a previous post that said Wigan were getting a lot of help from the ref.

You lot only ever have two props
Hopeful these last two games will have taken abit out of you before the cup but top spot is yours to lose now.

| Wigan were in the whole the better team tonight, nothing much special from either side and with a different video ref could have been different, the Carmont try that went to the vid ref was the right call for me, no way was the obstructed man getting over to stop that even without being taken out, but the other decision should have been B.O.D TRY for me.

| Quote: NickyKiss "Hopefully our depth will see us through the next 2 games.
We're missing Richards, Coley and Prescott from the Leeds game tonight and will bring in Goulding, Hock and probably Farrell to replace them. They're are obviously good quality options to have as back up although bringing in 2 second rowers for props may leave us a little light.
The good news for us tonight is that Cas have more problems then us with Orr and Hudson pulling out through injury adding to plenty of other injuries.
As for which game/trophy Wigan or Wire would rather win I think both clubs fans would given the choice settle for a swap. I think with our history in the cup and the fact that we've not played at the new Wembley we'd probably edge towards that and i'd guess you guys would edge towards to the Grand Final because at the end of the day if you win the Grand Final your regarded as top dogs.
Maybe we can come to some arrangment! ha ha.'"
I agree with your standpoint, but not your reasoning. I would prefer to get to the GF, and this is where I try not to sound blasé, but the CC Final has been done a couple of times. The GF is something completely new.
As I have previously stated, a CC final appearance for us, would be the end of or our GF aspirations (in my humble).

I agree with regards to the Carmont one.
The other one shouldn't even have got to the screen, they only packed 5 down into the scrum.
I just think we kept getting interrupted with constant injuries, at one point we had Hock, Lima, Carmont + Finch all off the pinch injured or down in backplay. I'm just glad to get the win.

| Wigan looked a bit tired and made a few changes. Looked like they had an extra couple of gears if needed.

We could have done with Ben Cross' visa coming through quicker.

| There wasn't too much between the teams tonight which was a surprise given the team that Cas fielded. Wigan seem to have the knack of winning these scrappy games whilst still playing poorly. Admittedly, the video ref helped. I don't think any of the Cas defenders would have been able to stop the Carmont try, but I think more of those have been chalked off this season than given and the other probably should have been given. I hope they play like this in the cup, but sadly, I don't think they will.
