i think he will end up a brilliant second row.
You can see he has strength and running power.... we just need to learn how to use him.
great move really, as its a gamble that has no salary cap effect.... for now.

No union player ever came in straight away and delivered
Davies took more than 12 months before he peaked.
the list is huge..... not one of them looked good in the first 6 months'" . I suppose that depends on position ...Martin Offiah burst straight onto the scene.

Yes. My guess is he's pumping iron but not so much running.

| it's interesting how awkward he looks when playing the ball, just shows you have to work at the smallest things!

| I’m glad Burrell has played at all this year if I am honest, I fully expected him to be kept on the sidelines till 2020. So anything is a bonus at this stage.
Time will tell whether he makes it or not, it’s not a risk in salary cap terms obviously, he has all the physical attributes to make it in RL, has played it in the past and was an RU international.
The guy needs time, that’s all.

That is my concern. He will be 32 as we roll into next season. You could argue he hasn't really got much time.

| There’s an argument to start him close to the middle and work out. He’s a big unit, in the middle there’s a bit more margin for error in defence, less ‘reading’ of the game. Out in the centre you have a lot of decisions to make, which takes time to create that instinct of when to shoot in, when to stay out.
Throw him in the middle and get him used to getting up and down, plenty of work from marker and carrying the ball. If nothing else, it’s a rest for a prop, and better to invest time in him than Tasi who is on the way out of the door.

Most of the fitness stuff will be ironed out in pre season. We’re hardly playing a brand of RL that flatters our centres at the minute, so he’s not going to look like a world beater.

| We have to be mindful ,if there is a mass clearout ,who will be available to bring in to improve the quality on the pitch.
Unless Price has something else up his sleeve ,our league season so far has not been impressive despite pretending we are still the second best team in the league. Let's hope we can at least get to OT.

| Quote: rubber duckie "Yes. Great spot and he's a forward who plays above his weight. I've no issue with him doing a stint to give DC a break but Dwyer on the bench seriously lowers the collective pack size. Good player he is and a great lad...but with Middleton's strive to be the greatest club in the World, he may have fell short of the pack weight required for that target to keep him.'"
Is the re-signing of Dwyer a RD exclusive? haha

I wasn't talking about Dwyer returning. Although it looks like it without the post of response.

| If King & Gelling are our starting centres next year, with K.Brand providing back up, we might not see Burrell in centres as often as we think.
Still has a lot of hard work to do to prove himself Burrell. I can’t see him displacing Currie, Hughes or BBM at second row, will be interesting to see what position he ends up at.

| Luther is almost certainly not a centre. I think I'd use the closed season to get him to play an impact prop role akin to Philbin.

We may also see Matty Ashton coming in and playing at centre when Lineham is fit or not banned.
