Indeed, very much a mediocre team. 6 Grand Final appearances in the last 8 years, 5 wins with a core of the same players.
Perhaps they are the "best team" when it really matters?

Leeds are the only team in the competition currently, who can break your line from 60/70m+ consistantly. For the past two weeks they've been under pressure and that has been their release, the sort of sucker punch and it must be deflating as an opposition player. They had no pressure at the HJ, very little tonight yet posted 30 points (near enough) in both games, and they carved them from very little.

I thought they were sensational tonight in those conditions, the skill level for the Hall try was brilliant.

I've read your posts for a number of years JWP and conclude that your literature is both usually humourous and knowledgeable.

no one is taking anything away from leeds..... infact most wire fans are congratulating them.

leeds have an amazing record in winning grand finals....and tonight they played brilliantly and deserved their victory.

Interesting to hear SKY comment on criticism that a 5th place team can carry the title of Champions.

they were unanimous in saying Leeds proved to be the best team and deserved to be champions! They aldo said those who can't accept it don't understand the game!

How is it sour grapes? Or unclassy. Just passing my opinion. If a team isn't performing, people will ask questions. Like when you were all asking for McDermott to be sacked. So you could say he was actually having a stab at his own fans as well.

Thing is, he's saying it like everyone was wrong, they weren't.

At the time of the criticism, they were 7th, the Catalans game that we all refer to where they behaved poorly, he acknowledged this himself etc, we went to Headingley and tore them a new one, so they deserved whatever criticism came their way, fully.

They've done extremely well from there, but it doesn't make the criticism they copped unjustified.

Anyhow, I like him, he's passionate etc. I thought he embarassed himself more thanking the sponsors, gaylord.

I never called for his head once, I've had my doubts if he's the right man for the job, but never have I been so deluded as to think as a fan I know more than people that run the most successful SL club there is.
